• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Rich or Harald is this gonna be a pic personaly by you Rich or are you gonna go by sheer votes or nominations is their a real tally being kept I mean I assume if you have them on the list they are all very qaulified so how are you gonna make such a Important decision.I wish you luck and good Insight on your pic guys!

Rich explained the basic process in the first post.
Members that have accepted their nomination will be considered by the currrent moderation team...some of them may not be included in the voting thread. Those that do will be voted on by the membership. I'm not sure if Rich is going to decide on adding more than one moderator...or, if so, whether both(?) will be selected by this process.

On thing to point out - this is not the voting thread...it is for nominations. Once a person has accepted (or declined) the nomination, continuing to post his/her name in this thread isn't going to help them be selected.

Has this thread really only been going for 4 days??
We currently have 10 nominees whom have accepted, and still a fair number that haven't responded in any way. Have all nominees been notified? (It doesn't matter how many nominations a person receives - they will not be considered if they do not post their acceptance in this thread...if you suggested somebody, make sure they are aware.)

I'm going to throw another couple of names into the hat:

I thank you for the nom for mod lol. If the low post count for time being with fauna isn't an issue I except the nomination. I also have a list of top posters and close friends I think would make great and worthy MOD's

Thanks very much for the nomination. I'm honored. However, I don't think I can give the time it takes to be a very good mod. I'll decline the nomination, but with my great appreciation.
