    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

It was Cass...I knew it was coming, but I'm not sure it was intentional - she actually hasn't struck just for the sake of getting me away from her in over a year. She held on just long enough to make me think she overshot the rat (that was at the other end of 18" tongs, lol)...and the fact that she quickly snatched it when I reoffered it would lend some weight to that thought.

None of my boas have ever caught me, although they have tried. I do have a lot of SFE with baby and yearlings since I have taken to hand feeding them lately. Might have to rethink that one.

Anymore I mostly get hammered by kings. I always forget that they think of other snakes as food so after showing off some corns I go to show off a nice docile king that then tries to turn my hand into a meal. At that point my friends never trust me on which snakes will bite. The reactions are always worth it though.

I got to thinking about this statement last night...and decided I should be a little more clear. She DID used to strike to ward me off, and she hasn't done so in over a year - I should also have made it clear that this was the very first time she'd ever made contact.

Just goes to show that even using 18" tongs doesn't guarantee you won't get bitten (luckily, I never forgot that fact when I was working with hots)
