    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I just got the lil guy from Blake @ Python Central. He looks GREAT. I am really happy with the purchase. Right now he is living in a 10 gallon tank for with plenty of vertical climbing space. I intend to move him into a 20 long in a week or so, I am building him a rock background right now, almost done. He is a very curious lil guy! I love the way he looks! Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks Yaz. Yeah he's real nice. I think I'm already addicted. They are great snakes, I don't know why more people aren't into it or why more people won't recommend them as "pets". When I was doing my research most stores told me to stay away from carpets because of their temperaments, I even crossed them out as potential pet list due to the all the negative feedback. But after taking to a lot of people and reading up I realized they are more impressive (IMO) and easier to take care than some ball pythons.

Cute lil bugger! Gratz!

Thanks man!

lol! Carpets are known for nippy behavior but honestly dont ever cross out a species because you hear it's nippy. Almost all of my carpets are tame as a dog with the exception of 1 and another 1 has on and off days. Lots claim that hatchlings are all nippy yet half the ones I have handled dont even try to bite. :shrug01: Its peoples opinions and I have to relate this case to: Pit bulls. People think they are the meanest dogs in the world yet every single one I have seen are the nicest dogs in the world. Why dont people say anything about Dalmations??? Because their pretty and on Disney movies? Dalmations are insanely protective, territorial, and JEALOUS like all hell. As pretty as they are, you have more of a chance to be killed by one if you walk past it than walking past a pit. I have a story if you wanna hear it. If not, I wont ramble on about it!

He hasn't even given me an strike posture yet. I did feed him today and no books or stories could have prepared me for that. The lil guy turned into striking beast! Didn't get tagged but I have to refine my feeding protocols. lol I now know why a lot of hobbyist don't recommend aquariums as reptile homes now.

I love pits very loyal and sweet dogs. I think any dog can be trained, or lack of training, to be protective/defensive. It all depends on early socialization. Please tell the story, would like to hear it.

I'll post some pics of him eating the fuzzy. Realized that was barely a snack. I need to move up to weanlings.

Heres the story: This happened about 6 months ago. I was picking my daughter up from daycare and she was playing outside with all the other kids outside. Well, I parked my car and got out and about 10 feet away here comes a woman and her adult dalmation. This thing was trying to CHARGE at me, it had a muzzle, a choke collar (the ones that have those rigid metal chains), and was growling like I've never heard before. It was so damn insane I headed back to my car. I didnt want to pass it. The woman could barely keep it next to her. Once she had it under control I shouted to her to get that the hell away from the kids and my daughter. That was ONE of the incidents with damn Dalmations.

Another time I was driving in my neighborhood and saw a guy walking his dog. There was a car in front of me and I noticed that the dog was barking at the car (not normal barking but wanting to sprint at it) the guy of course was holding the dog from running to the street. Anyway as I pass the dog it does the exact same thing. I am IN MY CAR DRIVING, and its trying to come at the car. Guess what dog? A dalmation! I'm like really, a dalmation is doing that?! What the hell is wrong with dalmations.

Maybe its just me but anytime Ive seen a dalmation they arent friendly at all. Pretty on the outside and crazy on the inside :shrug01:

I think it's a conspiracy! They probably collaborated and created DAY (Dalmatians Against Yaz) lol.
