In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Breeding Room

Those are some AWESOME set ups! I wish I could build my own cages, possibilities would be limitless...I have my guys in 36*20*17 cages from dragons4you. :)...i wouldn't ever stop getting dragons if I had a set up like Toms :willy_nil

Hello

that´s where we raise our dragons

We habe 4 of that big ones and 3 that are a little bit smaller but also decoratd etc. like this on the pic

wow!!!!!!!

How do you keep that set up so clean????? I have pretty basic set ups with simple rock set ups maybe 2 or 3 rocks a hide and a fake plant all in 4x2x18" melemine enclosures and I find myself pulling and cleaning cages and decorations daily sometime multiple times daily. Just wondering, Very, Very nice enclosures!!!:D

He is a Male "sunrunner" from one of Kevin Dunne's line. I have a few dragons i dont take many pictures of. he throws red orange babies and some serious bright yellows. it's always a surprise when i bred him to something. I use his babies for reptile shows and wholesale.

Which of Kevin's lines is it? Just wondering. :)

btw, tom, your landlord doesn't mind the dragons being there in the apartment? Just thought I'd ask. Most landlords (at least around my area) won't even let you have a pet unless it's fish. lol

:-D Those pics were taken when the tank was just built up, thats why its still that clean :)

But I must say the white sand on the back is still white. So if I clean the tank it is still very clean and the tank is now about 2 years old. But is isnt that white anymore as on the pic ;-))

He described it to be a sunrunner. i am sure its some kinda red yellow mix.sandfire blood x something... i dont remeber this was three 4 years ago. this guy throws some colorful stuff. From bright yellow to brick reds. I will find out in another week if this female is gravid that i crossed him with. looking forward to it. most to all of his babies gets wholesaled to mostly pet stores in or around my area. But there usually pretty colorful.

Pretty sanitary were always cleaning. or should i say tiffany is always cleaning:D i was expecting them to tell me to get rid of them or get out. an if that was the case, i was out. But like i said you really didnt know that i had animals here.

btw, Kevin really does create some cool babies.

oh yeah, you have a pm from me:)

I noticed most of you use bulbs for you night heat. I use radiant panels and am having great results and they don't burn out. Wondering if you have tried it and if so why you switched back to bulbs.
Gary

No, i didnt. I bought a couple and built a couple. Making little changes here and there to save money and time. there not 18" high there 12" high.

Basking bulbs aren't really necessary. My dragons still bask and move in out of the heated areas. yup there house hold bulbs.. another way to save without taking away from the dragons... what watt bulbs are they. lol... the bottom tanks have a 25 watt and the rest are 15 watt bulbs. Melamine wood. Keeps/holds heat and with some tricks it holds humidity! ( gotta have it for my silkies:D) And in the summer time i turn on the heat bulbs for half day then turn them out and leave the uv's on...

Tom have you ever had trouble or an issue with the dragons trying to touch or accidently touching the heat lamps. My cages are set at 48" x 24" x 15" and i use a 25 watt bulb. Even when its about 50 degrees here in cali 25 watts will hit the right temps, sometimes it wil take longer to hit 80 on the cool side, but gets there. In the winter when it gets down to 30- and 40 I up the wattage to 75 watts just to keep them happy.

Oh yeah and someone had mentioned that maybe you hit those temps with such low wattage because you have no vents. I have two vents on each cage 6" by 12" each space about 6inches away from each other.

No problem, I think I'll stick to my baby rack with 64qt sterilite tubs. Id have to put another adult in one of those full size cages!

Same here normal I use open air enclosures for my babies, last year I tried housing them in examine and I ran into some issues went back to open air and the problems were gone. So il be sticking to tubs as well for now. I thought I might have been wrong on the lengths of those cages and maybe they were housing males individually.
