So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ron, I'm all of 16 years old and I make an effort to spell things the way their ment to be spelled. It really isnt challenging to spell "what" with an "h" or make "2" into "to". make an effort to be professional. Thank you

It's one thing to not be particularly good at spelling/grammar. But it's another thing entirely when such a person makes NO discernible effort to actually communicate in a reasonable manner. Your posts here do not come across as someone who is simply literate-challenged, they come across as mocking and intentionally scorning the intelligence of everyone you are addressing. And they do NOTHING to help folks want to trust you when you say you are not a scammer.

You apologized for the boa picture...but you did not address the lie you told to NewPort Reptiles when asked about it:

You also did not address the issue about the picture of the spider. Nor did you address the issue of having recently been arrested by Florida Fish & Wildlife, which is VERY pertinent to people who may want to do business with you regarding the sale and transfer of....wildlife. :rolleyes:

It's not a matter of "being perfect" in your spelling...it's a matter of presenting yourself in a manner that let's people know they can take you seriously. You steal pictures, lie about it, have a very dubious arrest record, and type like you are intentionally trying to irritate everyone who reads what you write....what sort of impression do you expect people to have of you???

You know, as I finished my last laugh after reading this entire thread. I thought to myself..... What is going on here? This guy can dig one big hole faster than most on here. If he isn't a scammer, its going to take him quite some time to bounce back from this. He got caught with his hand in the cookie jar more than once in one day. Ok,I will admitt I dont know how things work down their with the wild life people..But I find it hard to believe the person came to your house just to check your permits,and arrested you cause he just so happend to check to see if you had warrants?..Maybe other Florida residents can confirm if this is in the scope of work for the Florida wildlife commission??

Yes They often run a warrants check on people they are going to visit. Remember they are State Law Enforcement, so a warrant check is not un-common.
 
Yeah thats why I asked..I would never buy from this guy,and I think he knew better then to steal those pics...But I didnt wanna strait out call him a liar on the game commision thing..
 
yes they do come and check on u for r.o.c reptiles.and they do run you.and i had a child suport warrent.if u are a r.o.c
perment holder they come and check 2 see if the reptiles are
healthy and i proper cages.the are hard on u if u do not follow
r.o.c rules.

Quit BSin around, answer the questions you've ignored, or be chalked up to a scammer.
 
Here are some facts........from a LEGITIMATE reptile breeder and member of this forum for a LONG time.........Ron is NOT a scammer. The cold hard truth is that he is a broker. He trades animals for animals on craigslist to make some money. are some of his animals sick? yes. not by his hand though. the truth is he doesnt know any better.......with sickness, sexes(I've sexed many of his animals myself), or past health. what I CAN tell you is that while in Ron's care(even if briefly), the animals are well taken care of. I have bought a few animals from him, being that I'm local, and all I can say is that I've inspected and sexed the animals MYSELF and never had a problem. As for Phil from Mr. weebees, I could go ON AND ON. now you want irresponsible, thats him. He's the same guy that told a lot of locals around here that he threw me out of his shop, which is completely untrue. Fact is, HE breeds boas at 3-4 feet(females). Ive personally seen females in his freezer that didn't make it because they were sexually immature. he's a loser. as for Ron, all I can say is he's legitimately a good guy, just a little undereducated in his reptiles. Just thoroughly inspect animals from him. period.

Even if I take ALL that you said at face value (wich I don't) that still does NOT excuse him from STEALING pics, and claiming there his.
 
You don't think using other people's pictures as his own multiple times isn't scamming? Seriously? I gotta get a new dictionary.

One might be able to claim that he always uses "representative" pictures in his ads...except for two glaring problems:

1. In the Sunglow boa ad, he said it was his own snake.
2. He never explicitly states in the ads that the picture is representative and not a picture of the actual snake for sale.

Take either of those individually, and it's scamming/fraud/whatever, let alone both together. Ron is both a scammer and a liar--he proved that with his own words.

And who in the world is "Phil from Mr. weebees"? Did I miss something?

no offence but anyone who has ever put a male and female together and succesfully hatched the clutch is a legitimate reptile breeder in my eyes, i also knoticed you have been here since 05 yet only have two posts where your actually selling animals. and im my opinion anyone whos "undereducated in his reptiles" shouldnt be selling here.

:iagree:..Also,he is not "brokering" them..He flops them..I could never buy from him..I also bet he fails to mention when his animals are sick..If he is behind on his child support,it sounds like he is getting desperate for cash..I wouldnt trust him in the fact that he steals pics and cant represent his own animals..Anyone who was looking for what he was selling,probably already knew what those kinds of snakes already looked like..And here is where he is a scammer..He didnt represent HIS animals...Effectivley meaning the buyer wouldnt get what they paid for..chfd143,you really didnt help this dude and I think sticking by his side could only hurt you if he scams more people..Your name will be associated with him on here..
