(The following doesn't necessarily deal with this thread. Instead, its regarding all of Ed's threads. If its interpreted as being off topic, then I apologize in advance)

There are those BOI threads with gray areas...then there are your threads, Ed, where there's only black and white. I mean we're sitting here shaking our heads at how you handle things. It's as if you enjoy victimizing people & animals, and then getting off on seeing peoples thoughts on it .

Every Ed thread is a different episode of the same soap opera (although this one is a bit more dramatic...a horse is involved ). You rip someone off, then we rip into you...do you consider this some sort of twisted game? Ed, NO ONE ever wins...we ALL lose (your customers, you, the herp community in general). Do you think that people enjoy dealing with your threads? That they enjoy coming here seeking compensation...that others then enjoy trying to convince you to do the right thing? Hell no...this type of crap is a headache for us all.

Picture how refreshing it would be to see 5 or 10 "Ed good guy" threads pop up this year. There's a good chance that some of your, now, loudest critics would be posting of how proud they are of you. If you put 1/10th the effort into your transactions, (that you put into these stunts) then you could be an asset to this community.

Why don't you call up some local schools, and see about exhibiting your animals? Then look at the kids faces when they're holding the dragons...THAT'S what all this SHOULD be about...somewhere along the line you forgot about that.

You're reaching the age (or have already reached it) where you'll start pondering about how you'll be remembered. All you have to do is take 2 minutes to hop on paypal and take care of all the individuals who you've put through hell. It really IS that simple (well, maybe not, but its a helluva start). We're not talking about astronomical sums of money...a couple hundred here and a couple hundred there...and many of your bad guy threads will then have new posts with happy endings. Once you do that, just continue doing the right thing (ESPECIALLY by your animals).

Will your rep change immediately?...absolutely not. Will it eventually?...sure will! You obviously have no trouble selling your animals (why that is, is beyond me ). You'll have a stable-full of happy customers in no time. Everyone is rooting for you to change your ways, Ed.

To tell the truth, we were all rude in our fashion. It's rude to tell people the truth these days, so I "hear." We are supposed to wrap it in cotton to make it more "palatable." Unfortunately, with these two (NICOLE) it's impossible to be polite, because they don't get the POINT when it's wrapped in cotton.

All Nicole has done for the astute reader is warn them not to do breeding loans with her, because when the loan goes south, she may claim that it was "given" to her. Note that there was never any kind of indication that it was a gift, even her e-mails did not read as if she considered Prince a gift.

Ed's statement that "I would have given her the world," did not read (to me) as if he gave her Prince. I read it as; "I would have given her the world, but I didn't give her Prince." We have only Nicole's word (cough, cough, hack..cough..) well...she 'said' that the animal was in very bad condition...however.. if it was..I believe she would have made some indications in the emails that the animal was in as bad shape as she stated.

In the end, Nicoles evidence damns herself, and reveals Ed flaws, too.

Yet..ONE thing in this whole mess sticks out and DAMNS her above all...

WITH ALL THE ACCUSATIONS THAT SHE THREW OUT AGAINST ED, SHE REVEALED THAT SHE WAS AWARE OF HIS BUSINESS PRACTICES (which we already knew about) YET, STILL SHE STAYED. SHE STAYED WITH HIM.

Nick is absolutely right about rebuilding your reputation. If your reputation, as a seller, means anything to you (start doing the right thing). I know you are capable of it. To think, you even gained my respect in one of your situations with the missexed BP. Not that my respect means anything to you, but, hey its a start

Some of us do what we do, regardless of how we have been treated because we actually do love the hobby/business and aren't just paying "lip-service" when we say that we love what we do.

In regards to Nicole, Ed and the host of other scammers, and bad business men, everytime a breeder/flipper scams a buyer, he/she makes it that much more difficult for the rest of us to sell our animals online (not because we actually believe that we are going to make money, but we do get joy in hatching these beauties and moving them so we can hatch more ).

For this reason, we should all are actively doing what we can to defend our hobby from those that would affect us adversely, whether it's trying to assist a buyer online to get satisfaction from his purchase, standing against the BAN on reptiles, or supporting Fauna so that it can continue to be the "last bastion" against thieves.

So, those of you that believe that most of the posters are posting because they have "no life," "scads of time" and "love drama" I tell you that you couldn't be more wrong,We do it because we MUST, and we need your help.

I'll end with this quotation: "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."

I completely agree that the people who go out of their way to prey off the inexperienced, or use dishonest methods to gain the upper hand are the bane of ANY hobby, business, society, etc...

But we have to all understand that in any community, people like that will ALWAYS exist. Unfortunately in our case, the animals often suffer as a result of their presence. There is really no way to completely eradicate these people from our communities... because even if we were successful, new "bad guys" always find their way in... hence the importance of this forum.

With the additional pressures against our hobby as of late, you would think these people would realize that they are NOT helping ANYONE (themselves included) by scamming, misrepresenting, lying, etc... (but then again... it does not seem like those which choose the "bad guy" path are the MOST intelligent people out there)...

It was said that in the future, if Ed changed his ways people would be very happy, and take his side. Judging by his age, how long he has been doing what he is doing, and the stubborn nature he exhibits when refusing to answer simple questions, I would be willing to nearly guarantee that we won't likely see any change.

Based on the actions of the past/present, it would take an unimaginable amount of effort on his part to change my opinion of him. He has shown his true colors again and again... on this forum, via PMs and Emails, in person at the one show I had the "pleasure" of meeting him at... I have NEVER experienced ANYTHING positive from him, nor do I expect to. It does not matter what you claim to be, or who you claim to be for that matter, you are the person you SHOW others.

Jason like you, I agree with Deb as well. Now, I understand how you fell regarding Ed and his threads, I partly feel the same way. I do, however, look at someones transactions on a one on one basis. As much as I hate to side with Ed, Prince should be going back to him. But this fact is only based on what Nicole posted, not Eds proof.

I am sure you would also agree with me that, if Ed were to start making good with some of his previous customers as well as apologize to Tom Clarke for the bad misrepresentation that Ed caused Toms business, it would at least be a start. All I want to see is Ed headed in the right direction because he DOES have something to offer the herp community.

Unfortunately, he has taken a lot of advantage of people and its shunned people from the positve side of our hobby. Ed, I hope you take what I say to heart as I know you at least read it. As for the "tool" comment, I am sure you might just not see that sometimes, I try to treat you fair and unbiased.

This doesnt mean that I want to add you to my friends list or to deal with list. I just really hope that you see things from a different side of the coin. You have a lot to offer and still have a chance to save some face here. I see the good side in you and would love for you to become that person 100% of the time. Anyhow, I have said enough now so please, just keep this in mind Ed for the next time you have an issue with an unhappy customer.

Dean I have to disagree with the majority of the above with the exception of the bolded part. As for it happening .... I don't see it being done. He has been confronted over and over again and still does the same thing. He is comfortable preying on the inexperienced with the misrepresentation of his animals as you can see here:

After seeing the pictures that Ed posted they looked familiar to me so I did a little digging. These two pictures are from the same photo shoot as two of the photos (Amaya & Lil Flame) used in Nicole's ad that she absentmindedly posted with the photoshopped picture of "Sokar".

According to the Exif data of these two photos that Ed took, they were taken with a Cannon D80 using Photoshop Elements.

Checking a couple of Ed's ads pictures, they were taken with a Cannon D80 using Photoshop Elements as well.

To Nicole's credit, none of the pictures that she has posted in this thread or in her current ads show the same kind of Exif data as Ed's pictures.
I'm posting only one (to save a little space) from an ad of hers but the Exif data is the same for all of her pictures I'm referring to.

That being said, These are HER animals, HER ads so she was maybe not the one behind altering the pictures but was well aware of it.

So, apparently Ed was doing Nicole's pictures for her past ads.
Seems to me we know who that mysterious "web guy" from Nicole's other bad guy thread is.


Nicole, separating yourself as far as possible from Ed is a great step in the right direction. Continue posting your ads with honest representative photos of your animals, deal honestly and fairly with customers and in no time you will have no need to have your ads locked for fear of negative comments being left and "Good Guy" threads will bury the couple of negative threads you have going.

That would take too much effort and he obviously doesn't care. His ban has been lifted and he bumped some classifieds and ignored his reputation and this thread. Which tells me he would rather make some money versus answer for his actions or give half a crap about his reputation. There are still plenty of other inexperienced uninformed people out there for him to take advantage of before he would even consider trying to fix his reputation and at this point he doesn't have anything to loose as I believe he has gone past the point of no return when it comes to being able to do so. If he were any kind of man he would have publicly apologized to Tom for his outright lies he told about him as soon as he returned from his ban. Actions speak louder than words and his actions are deafening.
