    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I sent this guy two US Postal Money orders for 700.00 total for a Juno Rd. male adult and a 2009 pair of Hueco alternas. When it came time to ship, Robert Faegre failed to do so. After many unanswered emails and phone calls I finally got a reply that he would ship the next day. He failed to do so again, and after days of unanswered emails and phone messages, I filed a complaint with the FBI Internet Fraud Center and the U.S. Postmaster General. This guy claims to own a business called True Flight in Del Rio. BEWARE!!! He is a scammer. It seems I couldn't get the money to him fast enough and then when he received it, he was gone! It's unfortunate too because I planned to do future business with him before I found out he is a THEIF!!!
 
I'm terribly sorry that this happened to you. Please post all correspondence to support your claim and send Robert a link to this thread..perhaps he will speak and a resolution can be found.

P.S It's a good thing you used a Postal Money Order, the other members may have suggestions that can help you retrieve your money.

I have all corresponding emails from him and he admits to receiving the money orders and I have confirmation receipts as well. I did send him the link. I also have emails of him stating that he was going to ship. I have a FEDex account and mailed him 3 labels because he repeatedly didn't ship. The tracking numbers have never been registered.
 
Hope this isnt overly paranoid, but the pieces may fit...Del Rio Tx/ Alterna's/ Bob Sloan. I remember seeing some posts somewhere that he was into selling Alterna's, under (surprise) an assumed name....just wondering.

Sorry to hear that Bob is a known scammer, can you direct us to the add where you found the animals, even it is gone it is pretty easy to get his user account turned off on whatever site he is going through.

FWIW, if he stays true to history he will make a lot of threats to you and your family and spend an amazing amount of time and energy trying to cause problems. Just wanted to make sure you were ready for what is likely to come next.

It does not matter because Bob will never be there, he always says he will but he never does. The time I was there before he was telling somebody he would be there to settle things up or "kick their ____" Or whatever it is he thinks he is doing.

Face it, Bob has never followed through on a face to face confrontation and will only do anything from the shadows. That is not to say he will not do harm, but it will be from the back or through the internet.

I hope that he used the Taxidermy business front for this scam so there is a recourse for Leah to take that business off the market for good. I am pretty sure that you need a license in good standing from TP&W for such a business in TX. Bob does not know how to play nice and all us grown ups need to keep taking his toys away.

He was pointed out to me as he was leaving, he even bought a pair of snakes off my table before going. I didn't sell him the snakes, a co-worker did. As he was going out the door, someone said it was him, sure enough it was, as I have seen him before.
If he shows up this time, like he says he will, he will be escorted out forthwith.

Sorry to hear about the Leah, the ***** got me too with his Micheal Duckworth name and I had a couple people vouch for him before I sent the snakes and MO.

I ran an add on Kingsnake.com looking to buy a Juno Rd male alterna and he responded to it though the website and we continued the correspondence after that. In addition to the Juno rd, and yes he sent pictures, I asked him if he had Hueco alternas and he sent me a picture of a beautiful clutch of which he would send me a pair. So I had already mailed him a US postal MO for 300.00 for the Jun male, then I sent 400.00 US postal MO priority mail for the pair of Huecos.
