    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Yes, and everyone reading this needs to jump one forum down to the alerts section. There I have posted a petition to rival this one. We have been spreading it since last night and have 144 signatures already. Take action.

Many have also reported the horrible petition for its removal due to the lies and disturbing nature of it. Lets keep it up.
 
I've got to say, and it may sound far fetched but it seems that this country is trading the ignorant racism of days past for another type of ignorant hate.

Really, anybody who's fed a cat, dog, or other domestic animal other than its regular prey items please raise your hand. Anybody who actually KNOWS another person who has been eaten by a snake please raise your hand.

Now on the other hand I do ( sorry did ) know personally a person who was killed, and half eaten by a group of dogs. Hell, my aunt ( who was a crackhead prostitute ) over dosed on cocaine. When her body was found her dobermans had eaten her face, and the flesh off of her legs. Funny thing is that her snakes remained calm in their cages.

There's a few stray cats and Chihuahuas that run around and crap in my yard all the time. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tempted to set up the live trap and disappear a few of them. :dgrin:

I hate stray cats! They kill every bloody plant & animal they can get their paws on :angry:

Fight the urge Rick, I know it's hard but think of the parasites & all the unhealthy garbage that could be sitting in their stomaches. You don't want that in your poor snakes :ack2:

I had to have the left side of my face put back on/together by a plastic surgeon when I was a kid after one of the family's dogs decided he wanted the crackers I was reaching for. If our Airedale hadn't been right there and defended me instantly I've been told I'd be dead. I'm lucky I healed so well & it just missed my eyeball.

I have a list of normal/accepted pets that have messed me & mine up bad &/or sent me to the hospital, snakes aren't on it.
 
Your comments remind me. How many snakes were bagged on the last burm hunt in the glades? 0 right?

Now compare that to how many aggressive dogs and cat's are picked up and taken to the pound ever day...

Of course I fight the urge. :rolleyes: I do trap cats, but they go to the pound. ALL of them. My neighbors don't like me much



Can I get a pellet gun instead? :dgrin:
 
Meh, the city takes my money for animal control, they can deal with the killing & carcass disposal for me. Why should we do all their work for them? :shrug01:

I could not help but laugh while reading that. Im sure most people who read that thought that was ridiculous. This is so non factual and over the top i doubt the average person would buy into it.

These snakes often reach weights over 200 - 300 pounds :shrug01:

Looks like that picture was of a boa.. my females dont break 20-40 pounds (on a stretch) and i cant even get them to take g-pigs or rabbits with the exception of one or two.

I once lost a dumerils boa for a few days and I found it because a cat was trying to kill it, he got some scrathes on him but turned out ok. It scared the boa out of his mind and he didnt even defending himself. (this was my first snake as a teenager, I dont lose snakes anymore.)

Point being I dont think I have ever heard of anyone feeding dogs or cats to a snake except for 2 occasions

1. Locally someone was fired at an animal control shelter for feeding puppies and kittens who were supposed to be put down to a large snake in the shelter. A story came up a few weeks later about how that person was hired back after a short period. Animal control didnt seem so concerned in that situation i guess..

2. A teacher with a class pet boa tried to feed live puppies to the boa in front of students.

Never have I heard of a responsible reptile keeper doing this... Only government employees so far.
