In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

they will not be bred and once bought they will no longer be sold to anyone other than friends or family agreeing to not breed or sell them to anyone other than back to me. they will be able to age in peace and live a full life

Your boyfriend is 18, and you don't sound like a cougar so you are probably near that age as well.
I'm not saying anything negative about your plans, but only asking that you think. What if you and your bf come on hard times and money is scarce, real scarce? So scarce that you can't afford to feed your critters? You can't sell these guys, could you put them in the freezer? What if you become ill, or for some other reason can't care for them?

Again, just food for thought,,,,,,

Just a tip, don't whine about receiving bad karma on the thread..it makes you look immature (we are women, take it like a man:dgrin: .... no, I wasn't the one that gave her the bad karma).

another tip: Noble, honest people don't usually go around "saying" it. Let your actions speak for themselves.

Nah, but I didn't figure her post was really deserving of a Karma hit, so I turned it back green.

well i would sell anything that was replaceable not to mention i have my family to back me up all they way. they want to me to succeed because it is something i want to do. they told me they were behind me all the way and would help me with whatever i needed. i aslo have 4 snakes that are non kinked or deformed and i plan on getting a few more healthy snakes that i plan to use as breeders and i have donation boxes set up at all the pet stores near me so i can also have a little more money to help pay for food etc for the kinked and deformed snakes

Neither did I, but I wasn't going to lie and say I thought the post was good:shrug01:. The member that hit her with the bad karma had the right to his/her opinion. Perhaps later down the line, Elizabeth will say something that I think is great and I can honestly give her a Good Karma hit.

I am not trying to raise up another Nicole who will whine when someone expresses an honest opinon and the males will rush to her rescue.

i just wish the person would have pmd me first thats responsible to do also. that is all i wanted to let people know. i wanted to know how that person actually felt and weather it was actually reason for bad karma or just pissed off

Well, whining about it got you what you wanted, so drop it.

Sounds like another fake rescue asking for free snakes. If you want to get into Balls, buy some. If you want free ones, you had better have some nice caging, food suppliers, etc...the price of a Ball is nothing compared to what it costs to care for say 10 or more. If you plan on breeding and selling Balls, I would forget the rescue effort because nobody in their right mind would buy snakes from you knowing that you take in unwanted snakes. Unwanted snakes = sick or less than perfectly healthy snakes most of the time, which means any healthy snake you have, could get sick at any time.

It's a nice idea in thought :) But unfortunately everything hinges on trust, which these days doesn't count for much it seems. Firstly, the person who produced the animal would have to trust you enough to believe 100% you weren't going to turn around and breed the animal, while some sellers wouldn't even care. If the deformity is genetic, that's a huge problem there. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you wouldn't breed a deformed animal... But say you decide to "rehome" that snake to another person? That's 1 more person you have to trust 100%. Then if they have to sell it.... I'm just saying that puts a lot of responsibility on someone's shoulders, which is the main reason a lot of people euthanize them at birth - they don't have to worry about it the rest of that animal's life. Sounds harsh but honestly it is a good breeder's responsibility IMO - just like when breeding livestock you cull undesirable traits from your herd. Whether that means end it's life, keep it yourself as a "pet" or rehome it to someone else. So, it isn't as simple as it may have seemed at first :(

Anyways, good luck :) I personally think if a deformity isn't genetic, and doesn't cause reproductive harm there would be no reason not to breed it - BUT the only way to find that out really is to breed it :/ That only works if you plan to put all the babies in the freezer if it turns out to be genetic... and you really wouldn't know from a first generation because you can't assume the trait isn't recessive. You know? Not even worth it IMO, too many lives at risk.

as i said before i already have perfectly healthy BPs and i am willing to buy undesireables as pets not breeders that would not normally be sold. it is my choice to buy them i assume the risks of buying them and i am perfectly prepared to deal with it. i also assume the right to turn down an animal if it looks sick or in pain due to kinks etc. i do not put any of my animals in the same cages and all my animals are quarenteed in a totally different room that is temp regulated apon arrival to make sure they do not look sick or show any sickness after arrival or react badly to stress. this is not an ad to aquire free animals since i stated i am willing to pay for them. when i agree to take them i require that i have a schedule so i have the routine the previous owner had to take care of each animal. i assume the right to turn down any animal that look to be in pain

i have my healthy ball pythons seperated from where the defective ones will be. these are the snakes i currently have or will arrive this week if you want to know

ALREADY HAVE
male/female pastel- healthy-will be bred
normal male/female-healthy-will be bred
het pied male- coming this week-healthy-will be bred
male and female het albino- coming in two weeks- healthy-will be bred
nonvisible KINKED male orange ghost- coming this week-will not be bred

therfore i am not a rookie in buying ball pythons all of these except the normals where bought off fauna. the het albinos have not been paid for yet but are awaiting owners fedex certification so i can send the payment. all my snakes are healthy and happy, well fed and properly caged.

I don't think anyone is doubting whether or not you take good care of your snakes :)

this was the reason for that post. this person obviously doubt me

100% understandable. i do my best for my ball pythons. to me they come before anything else. give me $20 and all ill get is snake food. it is my ball pythons before recreation and i see no reason why i cant extend it to the unfortunate ones who are born with non-life threatening deformities. everyone pushes them away or uthinizes even the more fortunate deformities. its wrong dont they deserve homes too. if it wasnt because of inbreeding and its not life threatening let the poor critter live and find a home for it. there are people out there who want pets

That's true, but like I said before it comes down to trust. Not everyone will be so ethical as to not breed a deformed animal, or pass it off onto someone unknowingly. If people were more trustworthy it would be a more common practice I'm sure :)

it would but if people are willing to sell them to be then it makes me happy because at least i know i can give them a good home. others cant know that but at least i know. i refuse to judge because its not the snakes fault how it was born but in my eyes it still deserve slithly less than a healthy one but for gosh sakes its almost negative right now

Yea but can you really promise to keep multiple animals for 25-40+ years each? If you can't find them 100% bullet proof homes for some reason would you be ready to put them in the freezer?

if it comes to that point yes i would be willing to do that. either they die young even if their issue is not life threatening or they get a few good years to live happily
