Are you serious? Why do you keep pressing me? I make a goodguy post for a good deal. Is that not what your suppose to do? Enlighten me if im wrong? I had a good deal with Shelby someone else did not. Does that mean I can not post about the good deal I had? Shelby is her own person and has nothing to do with me. How she handle her buisness is up to her. Hold what against me? How am I bad? Explain this to me? Please tell me what I did wrong? Are you questioning my integrity because I made a post about a good deal? I dont get what you are trying to say at all

This thread has nothing to do about anything but the transaction between me and her. And that transaction went perfect. There is no need for you to come in here about another transaction. That in my opinion is childish. If you want her to speak up about something else start your own thread or keep replying in that thread not popping your head in here and posting something that as nothing to do with anything this topic is about and telling me to reread somthing you posted.

Let me try to explain something here. When someone starts a good guy thread or a bad guy thread future buyers and sellers are encouraged to use those threads already here. In essence, if someone had a good/bad transaction with this person six months from now they could use this thread. Because you start a thread it isn't yours, it belongs to the person with their name in the subject line. You don't own it and you don't have to answer to someone in the future for your good deal. Now, people didn't start out attacking you per say they were addressing the subject of this thread not you.

It doesn't reflect on you because you had a good deal with this person. You just stated your honest transaction. That should be it. I think you became defensive at first for no good reason because you thought someone was addressing your transaction when they were not. So we should just let that part go. Your transaction has nothing to do with what the others have been posting.

But now I have to agree with you and state there was no reason for this
in this case .

You have nothing to worry about there. You did nothing wrong by posting your good experience in this particular situation. There is no guilt by association that I can see. The only time when someone is really tagged with that is when they knowingly do business with people that are proven liars and thieves. That's not the case with your good guy post and people shouldn't even suggest that your guilty of anything for posting your thread.

I see no reason why you gentleman should even continue to discuss it. The thread is not about the either of you.

I also wanted to mention to Shelby that the permit is not for just "wild-caught" turtles. You need a permit to possess box turtles in your State. Evidently you need one to possess red-bellies also, if I am reading what Garweft posted in the other thread correctly.

To be specific she needs a permit to possess the red bellies IF they were legally acquired from out of state, with proof of the acquisition.
If they were collected within the state they are just illegal period as there is no permit for that in NJ.
I would put money on the latter being the case.

It's pretty obvious by her silence (before being banned) that she has no permit for the box turtles, so one would conclude that any native species she has are probably being kept illegally as well.

I apologize for posting while in a bit of a testy mood. The words were ill chosen. My point was that the timing of the thread made it suspect, regardless of the OP's intentions. It was not my intent to slam the OP, but to point out that eyebrows get raised when a random good-guy thread goes up immediately after the same person starts having trouble in some other thread.

I was just thinkin it was odd no one else even chimmed in to say how great she was..I mean,this is one big coincidence if she didnt ask you to start this thread.Actually a very,very big one.I am just giving you advice that others seemed to know in advance..If she didnt ask you to start it,then ok...But people do start them alot with their friends so people can maybe forget the bad guy stuff..Thats what I am sayin..Just dont do anyone any favors that will come back to bite you later..

Im done arguing with you about this subject. I purchased those turtles on tuesday, she shipped wendsday, and they arrived thursday the 3rd. They were healthy and exactly as described. A GG thread was started by me to describe how the deal went which I hope someone would do if they had a good deal. I would of done the exact same if the deal had gone sour but made a BG thread in its place. Sucks other people had some misfortunes but I did not. Doesnt matter anymore anyways shes banned and after what she posted its probably for the best. But bear in mind I will post in the BOI GG or BG thread on my dealings in the future as well. Like anyone should

The beauty of the BOI is that it is the potential purchasers themselves that can read one or multiple threads, evaluate how much weight to give each post they read, and make the decision on whether to actually buy. At this point, after the unanswered permit questions and after her unprofessional outburst, a hundred good guy threads would not sway me, in my opinion she is not someone I would ever do business with.

You missed the point entirely. I am not saying that, because of other good guy posts, that Shelby is a "good guy". I'm saying that;

The OP of this thread made a good guy thread that some of you are saying mysteriously coincides with the bad guy thread she made. But in reality it coincides with the many ads she had been posting in the classifieds. "Bump...to the top." How many times have you seen that?

I like a conspiracy theory as much as anyone, and if it was proven to be true, I'd be right with you. But the problem with the BOI is, not everyone has the attention span to read a thread to the 7th or 8th page, which is where the friend accusations are recanted here.

I just thought about being in the OP's shoes, and really there was no reason for the accusations. Think before you speak, people.
