In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Here is my finished cage. I am not too happy with the substrate but when I clean it out next time I'll fix that and maybe add a few plants. But here is what I have done, let me know what you guys think.

Thanks Annabella!

I really don't like the aspen bedding, in a week or two I was planning on changing the bedding to ExoTerra Plantation Soil. Also, I have 2 PVC pipes on either side under all the aspen for hiding, I was planning on getting rid of that and instead buying cork bark tubes. I wanted to add some plants, I have some English ivy and like you said Annabella some pothos.

Just Bell is fine.

I always forget the english ivy, it's one of the few plants that refuse to live for me. I've heard tell it's good stuff though. The eco earth is a bear to deal with in water bowls but my saharan sand boas like it. Moss is pretty nice too but you have to watch it with feeding. I still haven't found a bedding for any of my snakes that I'm completely happy with.

I'm still using pvc tubes for mine but they're out growing them fast. There's a dead tree next door I'm going to pillage this week.

Are those foam rocks for the background?

I couldn't get the page you posted the pics of him in last time to load enough to comment (dial up sucks) but he's beautiful or handsome.. beautifully handsome!

I am going to have a go at the ivy, see how it does for me. So far I've tried several brands and types not happy with any of them. I tried Zillia's Douglas Fir w/ Eucalyptus it had the right color but it was too fine, I was worried it would cause respiratory problems only thing left to try is coconut fibers. See how it looks and if the lil guy likes it.

I love PVC pipes have used with all my snake enclosure and plus they are dirt cheap but I wanted a more natural look to it, hopefully the cork tubes will work well. It's expensive though, but then again most everything is expensive on college student budget :)

I used foam and "Great Stuff" and then poured cement over it and sprayed on some non-toxic dyes. I kept up with the background progress in this tread: http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=173998

Thanks Bell. He's a real nice looking snake with a personality to match.

Awesome finished product man! Glad it turned out how you hoped! Are you still planning on coming to FL for vacation this summer?

Bell, PM me!

Thanks Yaz. That's my plan I haven't sat down and planned the trip, focusing on college 4 finals 2 more weeks before I graduate. I'll let you know.

I made some major changes, I removed the substrate and used coco fiber. Should I be worried if he consumes a lil bit of during feeding?

After seeing some great looking bredli I decided to change my basking Zoo-Med light bulb to Exo-Terra Daylight halogen bulb (it's a UVA bulb). The bulb is a lot whiter so no more yellow tint. I also removed the PVC pipes and got two cork bark tubes. I added some plants as well, waiting on ESU Rock planter to hide the pot. I also added some fake plants in the corner to hide the UTH wire and so far it looks a lot more natural. I'll be posting some pics very soon.

Thanks for all your help and comments!!!

PS If anyone is wants some hides (mini & medium) PM me, I bought them from reptilebasics.com. I also have Zilla Lizard liter (Douglas fir) I don't recommend this for snakes. I have no use for any of these supplies and I prefer if someone had use for them. They are all free just pay shipping.

Where did the pics go for this? i love enclosure pics and especially anything to do with Bredli's. I am new so maybe that is the reason?

I don't think it has anything to do with you being new. I feel the same way. You should also check out Morelia Python Community Do you have any Bredlis?

I did some updates on the tank, I'm just waiting for some plants.

Thanks Phil. It's going through some changes since the last pic. I had to pick better plants because he decided the ivy's was a comfortable resting spot and destroyed the plant.

hey koshy i love bredl's..you have a great set up..its always nice to see a fellow herper get really into its animals enclosure..thumbs up to you.

Thanks Brian. The cage is focal point in the room so I thought I'd make it look pleasing instead of plain tank. It's a shame not too many others do it, I love natural enclosures.
