In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Dragons and Tails

Um no they did not die because of that NONE OF MY babys have died from my lack of care, EVER. They died after I had shipped them. The money is the last on my mind. You have no right to go ahead and speak for me.

She should not HAVE to ask beforehand. YOU know those babies were too young and small to ship, YOU admitted to being irresponsible. YOU have admitted you are just too overwhelmed (?) to care for your animals properly.

Unfortunately, it's also obvious you really don't know how to properly care for and sell your animals if you have to depend upon someone else (the other breeder) to tell you that shipping at 2" STV is fine. It is not.

You get points for admitting to being irresponsible - you lose more points for making excuses, selling weak, tiny hatchlings and not caring about your animals, only the $ you can make off them.
Animals suffer and die because you are overwhelmed and can't do right by them?
You lose. Period.
:iagree:

I never agreed to a refund because she never asked BEFORE hand.
This right here is what separates a good responsible seller from one who is not.

You owe her a refund for the dragon that died, that's it. It shouldn't matter that she didn't ask. YOU are responsible for that baby dragons death and she should be compensated fully for it.

They died after I had shipped them
Only because YOU sold and shipped them way too young and too tiny. YOU misrepresented. YOU failed the babies and your customer.

The money is the last on my mind.
BS! You sold those 4 teeny weeny weak hatchlings for $100 each! You gotta be kidding me!
I can get dragons that look twice as good for $45.00 each.

Buyer certainly beware!

The dragon was 3 weeks when i shipped and 2 in' snout to vent, I was told by a different breeder I was doing a trade with at a time that this was fine.

So your saying they shrunk on the way to the buyer? The pictures show beyond a doubt that they were not 2" STV. How can you maintain they were?

Regardless of your obvious anger towards the buyer you should still AT LEAST refund the money for the dead dragon. Do you believe that the buyer is somehow responsible for the dragons death??

Taking all emotion out of this issue and looking at it strictly logically you owe the buyer some sort of refund, period. Your own admission of making irresponsible choices is proof enough of that fact. Add that to the pictures and its undeniable.

Personally I'd feel better about myself having given a refund..

Easy to see how someone selling their entire collection, and moving onto something else in life would self destruct in a BOI thread.

It becomes a big "Going out of Business" party when the seller hits bottom and then keeps digging.

This is another lesson in how NOT to treat a customer if you would like to remain in business.

Jessica, why would you actually post photos of those tiny sickly looking dragons on your website, along with their descriptions?

From your site (and screen shots taken):
Blue Boy, Male Fire Tiger Recieved from Brenda at Dragons & Tails
Currently 3 1/4 Inches Long

Fire, Female Fire Tiger Recieved from Brenda at Dragons & Tails
Currently 4 1/4 Inches Long

Despite the fact they are sickly looking, They are still part of my family and my upcoming breeding project. As soon as they shed, new pictures will go up. As do with all of my reptiles. Is there a problem with that? They may be sick looking, but i still love 'em and I'm proud they are still living. Plus my husband is in the field (military) and they are his bday present...which didn't turn out so well, but regardless. I posted them so he could see them as he has net access but pic texts dont really seem to work to well.

Heat rock burn?

Could that yellow spot be a heatrock burn? Also, going by the size of the runts head compared to his body, and he's gangly looking, he wouldn't be newborn. Probably 3-4wks and just barely making it.

Also, she provided a pic of the deceased baby, that should be enough evidence for a refund or replacement.

Wow wanted or not you diserve a FULL REFUND! Shipping those out is just discusting and cruel to the beardies... way to abuse the animals!
My question... when she sent you that pic was it supposedly an older pic and the beardies were older and bigger??

I'm thinking so, because I was told her camera was broke but that the beardies I was getting looked just like the one's pictured. Which as you can see they do not by the pictures I have provided.

Yeah thats rediculous, its obvious your going way out for this one. Your being very immature. Thats not even what theyre breeds are. So much for knowing all the little details.

Reply From Dragons And Tails

This whole situtation has been misled over where it should have been.
Honestly to everyone, I LOVE my dragons. I just started out breeding probably a year or so ago, and im still learning. Through learning I have failed and suceeded, and yes I made some mistakes, and even in this situation I apologize to you Jessica, and others who ive upset by this. I shipped the dragons out too early, I should have waited until 6-8 weeks but I shipped out before then. Im not going to sugar coat anything. I screwed up and I apologize to everyone. I have some very beautiful dragons I am rehoming, and I was getting out of dragons BEFORE this whole thing started, for now. I cant afford to take care of them and give them the attention they deserve. So im going to find great homes for them, and when I move to a bigger place they will be living in heaven and I will make new rules with my breeding to ship out at 8 weeks. I have never had any health problems with my dragons. Sometimes dragons dont make it. My mistake was shipping them early. I did not place two heat packs, not even one, I swear to this. This is what upsets me is she is taking things way out of hand and this is a lie. I hope you all can work with me and hear me out, its important to me what everyone thinks and this really has a huge impact on me. Its not just not phasing me, and I strongly care. Ive been somewhat avoiding it because I dont want to stress myself out, im not trying to involove personal issues but I have been avoiding it because I dont want to add stress on my pregnancy. So when all is situated I will begin again. I just want everyone to know I love and care about my dragons, they live happily and great and get sun every day out of their cages. Once again sorry all and to you Jessica. My boyfriend doesnt know if the baby did die in 24 hours because you didnt adress me until over 24 hours of this. It was 2 days after you recieved the babys, and I probably have the text in my sent box, dated and all. So I hope this resolved this whole issue. Thankyou all take Care. -Brenda L.

Why did you start a new thread? This is just a waist of space on the server. I know its probably not going to happen, but can this be locked and move?

Well at least she came on and explained herself and tried to make it right, and yeah she should finish it by sending a refund, then all would be done and made right.

I do agree that this should have been added to the thread already made about this case.

Amanda

Well I wanted to make sure that everyone saw this thread. That thread was very cluttered and I wanted it to be crystal clear for everyone to see. I am refunding her money. Thanks All.

No Brenda, "this" doesn't resolve this whole issue. Above you admit that you screwed up. You did so by misrepresenting your animals size, age and color, and you put the lives of the babies you claim to love to much at risk by shipping them when they were not only much too young, but unhealthy. Your customers photos speak volumes and those babies that did survive were not cared for properly prior to shipping them.

You owe your customer way more than an apology, you owe her a refund for the animal that died because you "screwed up". In fact, you really should not only refund her for the dead animal but also give her a partial refund on the others because of the poor condition they were and still are in. Yeah, I get it that she does not want to send them back to you (I don't blame her at all for that!) but you really should take a step back and take a look at this situation and how you would like to be treated if YOU were in your customer's place and had to expensive dragons as if they were rescues.

Maybe if you did that then some of your peers would give you a second chance in this business! Remember, we all makes rookie mistakes in the reptile hobby/business but it is how you correct those mistakes that can make you or break you here.

Just telling it like it is. I hope you do the right thing.
