Question - Do the pictures belong to you? Did you take them? Do you own those exact animals? I know for a fact that Albino belongs to my friend... So that would mean you stole her picture. It's pretty obvious the other pictures don't belong to you either...

The reason you'd use someone else's picture is the same reason other people steal pictures... To scam. Otherwise why not just take pictures of the animals that are in your possession, if you actually have them that is.

And maybe because your scamming someone? Obviously those pics are stolen unless you have a case of amnesia and forgot your name.

The difference is using pictures as examples in discussions is fine - you aren't gaining any money from those pictures. Using someone's pictures in your AD to sell animals is false advertising. Nowhere in your ad did you state those photos don't belong to you - therefore it is misleading at best. These forums have seen a lot of ads with stolen pictures and 9 times out of 10 it is someone trying to scam.

For future reference...this type of commentary is not appropriate for the classifieds. Considering that I'm still half asleep, I might use poor judgment if I take any action at this time. Hence, I'm simply locking this ad instead of handing out infractions.

Whether you think anything is wrong is irrelevant. Besides looking like a scam, the fact is using someone else's photos without their permission is illegal and won't be tolerated.
Consider this your warning against such practices. Continuing to do so in the future will result in having your ads removed and/or being banned from posting entirely.

If you have the animals in your possession for sale, then take pictures of them yourself or use none at all.
