The first contact with the seller was on 5-26-2010. I inquired about purchasing some eggs he has available for sale. I recieved a reply that day and the paypal money was sent 5-27-2010

We agreed to ship on 6-1-10 after the holiday. I sent the seller a pm on 6-2 asking if the eggs had shipped. I recieved a reply that the eggs went back and he would refund my money that week. The seller stated that he had a tooth pulled and was short on cash. He said he got paid soon and would send it when he got paid.

I also sent a pm to the seller asking why he spent my money before he even shipped the eggs that I had bought and he never answered.

I explained to the seller that I was apprehensive about getting ripped off due to recently not recieving an item that I paid for. The seller them replied with the comment that if he wanted to rip me off he would have just sent bad eggs.

I sent a PM on 6-9-10 asking about the satus of my refund and the seller stated he was still working on getting money into his paypal account. I noticed the seller online again on the 11th so I sent another pm asking about my refund with no answer.

I sent another pm on the 13th asking about my refund. Neither of the last two pms have been answered. I explained to the seller that I am very patient as long as there is communication. The seller has quit communicating so I brought it here.

I have copies of PMs if needed. He already stated he does not have what I paid for I would just like my money back.


This is only for a small sum of $24 but I just wanted to get the word out there for other people that may think of buying from him.

The whole transaction took place at www.caudata.org

I have notified the seller of this post.

You stated The eggs went back. Is that what you meant to say or did you mean to say they went bad? Not that it would really matter but it would tell us if he was do the producing or just reselling someone else's.

Yeppers, copy and paste or you could attach a Word document but copy and paste would be one less click to view them.

Not meaning to sound like a ***** or anything but why did you not take the time to let me know when they went back? or when you did not ship them on tuesday?

Now I have to wait a week on my money? I don't quite think that is right. if what I bought has not been sent why did you spend the money?

Please let me know what you are going to do. I am really easy to get along with. But you are the second person on this site that has taken my money with nothing in return.

Please let me know what day you will be sending the refund so i can keep an eye out for it. and please send it as a refund and not a payment so i do not have to pay paypal fees.

I do understand that things come up but in most cases most people dont spend the money until the item is shipped, recieved and the "customer" is satisfied.

Actually, if it has been under 45 days you could dispute it through pay-pal seeing as you never received what you ordered.

I believe if you funded the whole purchase with a pal-pal credit card (different from just having a pay-pal account) through pay-pal you will be reimbursed. I do not know if it works the same with money sitting in a pay-pal account or if it was being funded with a credit card other then a pay-pal one. I have a paypal credit card but I dont think that is what I used. I am pretty sure I just sent it directly through paypal. Although there was no money in the actual paypal account it came from the debit card attached to it/ bank account attached to it.

Now did that one make any sense?

You should be able to look at the transaction details in paypal to see whether the transaction went through your bank account or your debit card and contact your bank regarding whichever one it was and get the money refunded. Just file a fraudulent transaction report with the bank and they will usually get it credited back to your account relatively quickly.

I checked on paypal and it was through my bank account.

I will give them a call tomorrow and escalate my dispute/ claim.

I hate to see something like this happen to good people... If it was through your debit card attatched to your paypal account then the Bank should be able to take care of it relatively quick then they will go to Paypal and get it taken care of... as for now... Adam's Paypal account is frozen so he can't receive or send money so unless he demands a Money Order he won't be able to do business till the Dispute/Claim is settled! I know... had it happen to me once!

From what I've experienced with paypal in the past they will give the "offender" a certain amount of time to place the $ into the paypal account. If they don't, paypal will simply take it from the bank/card number that you gave when you made the account. But I agree, going through your bank would be faster and easier.

It's warm out here but the water inside the bottles was cool, the gel pack still cool. All of the food animals were dead as well. I'll send a pic in a few mins. Just have to upload it.

My best guess is all of the food critters in there caused an ammonia spike, but who knows? A lot can go wrong during shipping. Might be interested in gfp's at another time, but right now I'm all set. I can wait til friday if necessary.Thank you for working with me through this ordeal. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from you again.

i wonder what went wrong , maybe the ice pack made them too cold,

yeah i can send your money back, but i won't be able to till next friday , just don't have any money ,unless some one buys some eggs before then , i have some gfp axolotls , would you be intersted in them ? they just hatched a few days ago, so they are only about 3/8 " long . i have wild types and some lucy's might be a few melanoids.

still working on getting some money together, lot of my eggs went bad so i couldn't make any sales, i'll pay you back as soon as i can . sorry

After that, I sent him another message on June 8th and never heard back from him. So I made a claim on Paypal, he sent a message there saying he was going to send the money back when he got paid. Stupidly, I never escalated the claim. After I found your thread, I sent a message to the owner of Caudata.org and related my story to him, as well as giving him the link to your thread. He said he would look into it and possibly stop this guy from selling stuff there. I actually found your thread by accident. A friend showed me this site and it looked like it might be a good place to find axolotls. LOL!
