    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

would like to hear what you all think about personality differences between male dragons and female dragons. Is there much difference in personality? I would imagine if you have more than one dragon with different sexes it would effect the personality (knowing the other sex is around) I am talking if you have just one solitary dragon, do they have a difference in personality when there is no other dragon of the opposite sex to get them excited so to speak.

I've found that more often than not, it just depends on the individual dragon.

I have both males and females that were just absolutely rowdy and would puff up at me anytime I opened their cages... And then, I have had those, of both genders, that were exceedingly tame and have been excellent in handling and never puffed at any point whatsoever.

So in my experience.. gender doesn't matter, just the individual dragon. Just my 2 cents.

same here gender does not truly depict personality traits. however there are pros and cons to both sides of the coin. with a female typically the "adolescent/hormonal" months are less pissy than with a male but with a female you do have the off chance of dealing with the production of infertile clutches.

My first dragon ever was a male (specifically because I was afraid of having to deal with egg binding and decalcification from infertile egg production). Though now it would not matter to me as a beginner it made me feel better lol.

I've never really noticed a real personality difference between the sexes.. I have one male and 3 females..but I'm around plenty of male dragons at my boy's house. My male is a bigger sissy than my girls some times. :p
I've seen females slow motion bob when mating, or getting ready to...otherwise I've only seen female babies bob just because they can.

ok, thank you all for your "2 cents" I kinda thought that there probably wasn't really much difference in personality because of sex, each dragon is just it's own individual. When I was searching for Isabelle, I wanted a female only because I had the name Isabelle picked out and knew I wanted a citrus tiger. I will get another dragon probably in the next few weeks, and will choose by which one just seems to "be the one", may be a citrus tiger, maybe not. I will let you all know. and thanks again, you all have been very helpful and supportive :)

Does Females Traditionally do the Head Bob?

Males head bob I personally never saw a female doing it. They do it when a female is around or he can see her or if their breeding.

As far as personality there really isnt a differance. I think if you where going to get just single pet dragon, I would get a male...

When kept together,some females will head bob to show dominance....submissive females do the slooooowwww- moooooowwww head-bob.
