In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry The Snake Lab - Robert Bryant (KY)

Does anyone have any experience purchasing from The Snake Lab? They have a couple of snakes I’m considering, but I didn’t see any feedback on them in the BOI. The only Google results are their ads and their FB page. Thanks!

    Unexpected eggs...

Tonight I discovered a surprise clutch of eggs when cleaning cages. There were maybe a dozen, five of which were dark yellow duds (plucked out and pitched). The rest are white but some were pretty dimpled - probably laid within the last couple of days (under the water bowl). I've put them in...

Would like current market price opinions on my boas....

First, let me state that these two boas are not for sale. I am just trying to find out what these unusually patterned boas may be worth on the current market. They are four years old, about 4-4.5 feet long, they are siblings and are not yet proven as breeders. I do believe the patterns are...

Model 433 Vision cages for pickup in VA

Two Model 433 Vision cages - 48"L X 28"D X 28"H, excellent condition, asking $250 each OBO (within reason). I'm no longer using these cages and could use the space these are currently taking up. Unfortunately, they are too large to ship and must be picked up. Please contact Dianne @...

Would like some help identifying this moth...

This showed up on my porch steps last night (I'm near Richmond VA). I've never seen anything like this guy (gal?). The wingspan is around 4 inches or so (with them folded back as in the picture). Needless to say, trying a Google search for 'green moth' brings up a lot of results...and none of...

    2 Model 433 Vision cages

I have two of the Model 433 Vision cages (48" L X 28" D X 28" T) for sale in the Richmond, Virginia area. I am asking $250 each (new is $417.00). They are both in excellent condition and I do have locks for the sliding glass doors. This will be for pick-up only as they are too large to ship...

WC Garter Snake - care tips?

A couple of days ago my brother gave me an eastern garter snake that came in his load of mulch (he's a landscaper). He was unable to run the little creature off, so he put it in a bucket and brought it to me (the snake-loving kid sister). I haven't decided to permanently keep it, but I do want...

Bryan Albin of Albin Reptile Breeding - Good Guy!

At the VCRE on Saturday, I purchased a hatchling jungle X diamond python. She is an absolute beauty, very healthy and has a great disposition. I've spoken with Bryan at a number of the NVRE shows and have always been impressed with his stock and how he represents both himself and his animals...

    Richmond VA - May 10th

Richmond Show This is a new show starting this year in Richmond. I'll be a vendor there and it looks like it is really shaping up to be a good one. From my understanding, they're aiming for 200 vendors and it's going to be in a major exibit area. A lot of different types of shows are done...

    Inquiry: Snake Racks

While researching the options out there for caging, I ran across this couple: www.snakeracks.com Jon & Staci Roylance Salt Lake City, Utah 801-446-5451 The racks they sell are almost identical to Freedom Breeder racks - from the pics I saw anyway, just a few minor differences. The major...

Fredericksburg VA - Saturday Feb 22nd

NVRE is sponsoring a show tomorrow. It's a nice local show and so far has had a pretty good draw of both vendors and visitors. Anyway, I'll be there, drop by and say hello! Dianne

    Ophidiophile Farms - Inquiry

Okay, blame it on Reptiles magazine - I found another type of boa I'd like to get into - the Malagasy Tree Boa. Scientific name: Boa manditra formerly Sanzinia madagascariensis. I'm in research mode right now to determine if A) I can even afford these & B) Husbandry/Breeding info. So far...

    Flexwatt & Melamine, compatable?

I'm planning on building a 3 cage setup out of 3/4" melamine shelving that I have. Will flexwatt be enough to heat these, or do I need to figure out a way to add heat lamps? And yes, they will be hooked up to a thermostat, probably Helix because I'm familiar with them. Dianne

    New Richmond VA reptile expo...

Virginia Capital Reptile Expo First off, let me say that I am not in any way affiliated with this show or its sponsors and only found out about this show today. I went to their first Fredericksburg, VA show and liked it. So I bought a table for their second show in Fredericksburg to help a...

    CagesByDesign (Inquiry)

I'm in the research stages of getting a large cage for my baby burmese python. While she is only 3' long at this point, I know full well that this is a temporary thing. :) That said, I've looked at the CagesByDesign cages and like the look and variety of sizes and options. I've done a search...
