In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

    Greek Tortoise Needs Some Work

I took in a "box turtle" that was brought into my work as the people essentially didn't want it anymore because it was a boring pet. As it turns out, it's a Greek tortoise, I'm guessing about 10 years old based on the sketchy history I got. He has been improperly fed (carrots and green leaf...

    First boa--rescue

This guy was dropped off at a vet hospital for euthanasia about 6 months ago, skinny as a rail, because he "wasn't eating." A staff member instead took him home for an attempt at rehab and no such issues. He's put on a lot of weight and now lives with us as we have space for such a sizey...

    Terrorists

My city is in chaos. I have always loved the Boston Marathon and this really broke my heart. I don't have much else to say at the moment.

    Breeding female question

Hey more experienced breeders than I, I have a female that has 5 follicles I can easily palpate and who has been off feed since 12/18. I had to stop pairing her in early February because the male I had her with developed bacterial enteritis and had to be pulled from breeding. She's currently...

    What's Happening Here? (Pics)

We were "window shopping" today and saw this girl labeled as a Het G. Stripe. I dunno what prompted us to look in her tub but we did and saw this girl. We asked about her and the manager (who we know and trust) said that he didn't think he had ever seen her before and if he had, she certainly...

    Best investment ever

After a few issues with some of the snakes we have had shipped to us (fed-ex dropping stuff off at the door without us knowing, one delivered to our very surprised yet understanding neighbors, a misunderstanding about a ship date, etc), my boyfriend and I invested in a mailbox and package...

    People who steal

So today we are closing on our first home purchase. It should be an awesome day, and it is, except for this morning when I started my car and left it in our "secure" parking lot of our "secure" apartment complex for less than 10 minutes while it warmed up. Did I relock the driver's side door...

    Wound turned septic

10 days ago my little super pastel baby managed to squeeze himself out of his tub between the lid and container, but not without damaging his ventral scales. I have been soaking him in betadine baths and using SSD on the wounds and he has been doing great until last night when I noticed that he...

Whelp, apparently I am a cornsnake owner now....

Rescued this little lady last night. She was in pretty rough shape. Skinny (the people said they got her almost a year ago!), dehydrated, covered in stuck shed....after a long soak and big drink she looks much better today. Was able to get her shed off and now that she's not sitting on moldy...

    Hypo Mojave or Hypo Pastave?

Hey guys, I am not generally one of those people who looks for Easter Eggs in snakes they own, and believe they generally are what people say they are. I picked this guy up on the fly last week. Based on the info I have in his parents he could be either. I'm happy either way and am pretty...

Good Guy Jeremy Cooper (Cooper's Creations)

I've been keeping and rescuing/rehabbing reptiles for years, and just recently have started a small breeding project with ball pythons. This will be my (hopefully) first season. I contacted Jeremy about an adult female "yellow granite" he had for sale on his website and also kingsnake.com. We...
