    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

    Shredded Aspen in/around Memphis

    Well for the second time in the last 5 years, my shredded aspen supply has dried up. There was an American Excelsior division here in town that gave me access to 30 pound bags for around $10. They closed the Memphis warehouse. I then found Harlan shredded aspen on Amazon for around $15 for 35...

    Red bellies on ball pythons

    I decided to try 2 of my female yearlings on paper towels instead of aspen last week. Not my best idea. I followed that decision up with way too much work and overtime for the next several days and did not notice that humidity in their boxes was out of control. The paper towels were soaked...

    Thermostat and Flexwatt questions

    I am looking at setting up a new rack. I have never used a rack system before. I am looking at using 4" Flexwatt and an Alife Reptile Electronic Temperature Controller (Beanfarm.com ). This will be for a 3 or 4 bin rack. One rack will house bulls and pines. Another will house ball pythons...

    Growth rates

    Just wanted to get a feel for what some of you have experienced over the years. I have a pair of black pines hatched in August of '04. Both are very healthy and great feeders. They are both around the 3 foot mark. I have not pushed them as I want healthy pets first and breeders as just an...

    Recent Windows XP update causing problems

    KB908531 has caused problems on at least 3 machines that my company has been called out to work on this week. The problems are usually tied to network issues but can manifest in other ways (slow system performance, odd menus, and erratic mouse behavior that I have seen). Have fun!
