    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I decided to try 2 of my female yearlings on paper towels instead of aspen last week. Not my best idea. I followed that decision up with way too much work and overtime for the next several days and did not notice that humidity in their boxes was out of control. The paper towels were soaked. I put them back on aspen Friday night. I checked in on them tonight and both have red bellies. They seem fine otherwise, but I am concerned it may be a bacterial infection. Is this a wait and see thing, or are we heading to the vet? The worst is that I am on jury duty this week with a strong possibility of being on a sequestered jury...
 
Get their bellies cleaned off, then keep them on a dry substrate. As long as there don't appear to be any blisters, or open/oozing areas, it should be ok. The discoloration might linger until the next shed, just keep an eye on the way the belly looks.
 
BP's bellies will also turn pinkish red when they are about to go into shed. Like Harald said, keep an eye on them and keep those bellies dry ( humidity at 60% or so will be fine)
 
Thanks for the replies. I am probably being overly cautious. With the first female, eminent shed was my first thought. The second girl having the same belly led me back to damp conditions. There is no blistering as yet. Just red belly scales. I will keep y'all posted.

All right!!! I have not noticed many Memphians on the forums here or elsewhere. What do you keep? I have a few regius, black pines, and a black milk.
