• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

How to tell male and female apart?

So I know this sounds like an easy to answer question but I'm not wondering how to sex snakes. For those of you who breed species without morphs, how do you differentiate between the male and female when you pair them to breed? With the ringed pythons I basically have to pair snakes with...

    This made my day

I can't even begin to explain how excited this made me. I'm not sure if she'll go but this certainly doesn't hurt anything.

    Good Guy Brett Bender

I don't leave a lot of reviews anymore but Brett did really a great job with me. I purchased an adult mystic potion male from him and the entire transaction was exactly what I would want. I didn't have to waste time emailing him back and forth a dozen times to get all of the info, he told me...

I'm a dummy, need ID help

So I messed up and mixed a few hogs around. I'm pretty confident that I know what these are but just want to see what other people's thoughts are. That being said, I'm going to restrain from saying anything until I get other guesses. I will say that I have condas, toffees, and hypos as well...

    New rainbow boa

Got this girl this morning, super happy with her color and pattern. She had a little nose rub and is a little smaller than I expected but after seeing her I couldn't be upset. She'll be in quarantine for a while but I can't wait to see what her babies look like down the road.

    Help with LARGE shipment

I'm in a bit of a pickle. I've been working with a large collection in FL for a while and recently decided to take it over completely. This means that I'll be moving to FL permanently and that my current collection in WA needs to come here as well. It's no problem for my brother and fiancee...

    Adult boa extremely defensive

Need some help. I have a BIG adult boa that won't let me go near her. I've dealt with defensive snakes before and have had no issue calming them down but never a snake this size. Getting bit is no big deal, but when the snake's head is the size of your hand and hits like a truck...you get the...

    Blackheads

Got a pair of adult blackheads as part of my new collection. These guys are BIG, very cool in person. I've heard that these are difficult to breed but I'm going to keep my fingers crossed. It's probably too late to do anything with them this year, but next year we'll see how things go. The...

    New additions :)

I just took over a huge collection which included some very cool snakes. Part of it is about half a dozen scaleless rats. Way too cool, they remind me of watercolor paintings. So so smooth to the touch too. Looking forward to breeding these guys, if not this year then definitely next. This...

    Axanthic Jaguar Carpet

Managed to grab this girl in a group purchase, super excited to see if she proves out as axanthic. I took pics of her next to a jungle jag for comparison. (this is NOT their permanent housing, I only put them there to take a couple pics. They're both in their own bigger enclosures now.) Also...

    Hidden Gene Woma Wobble?

Obviously when people think wobble they immediately go to spiders, but we hatched out a few hidden gene woma combos and I noticed one female has very noticeable wobble issues. To some extent this doesn't surprise me, as the super HGW is lethal, the spider HGW is lethal, and basically any other...

Anyone successfully bred GTP's? Need cage advice

I have a couple green tree pythons, one being a 4 year old female, and was looking for some caging advice. I currently have them in makeshift enclosures that work fine as far as heat and humidity go but I want to invest in something nicer. I looked into 4 or 5 different companies, and the...

    Super dwarf retic question

I'm very new to retics and am still trying to figure out breeding because I'm super excited about it. I purchased a 50% super dwarf sunfire het anery female that I was told was around 4 years old. The problem is, she's only 6 feet long. From my understanding, the 50% super dwarfs should be...

    Stupid people breeding

Makes me so mad. I bought a cool looking sand boa female from some random person on facebook...she showed up fine, looked healthy, shipping worked out great. I should mention that she was nowhere near breeding size and that I planned on raising her up for AT LEAST another year before pairing...

Bad Guy Siren Exotics AKA SirenSanJose - SICK ANIMALS

I tried putting this post off as long as possible because I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. It's been two months since I have had any contact with Siren after they sold me a sick snake. We vended at the Reptile Breeders Show in Lodi, CA on April 25-26 of this year. Siren Exotics...

Need help with an ID on corn snake

OK corn snake people, I have never worked with corns before and have NO idea what the different morphs look like. I just picked up a female locally but have no idea what she is. As far as I know she has to be albino because of the eyes, but I'm hoping someone with more experience can lend me a...

    Facebook groups

Apparently reptile facebook groups are the next cool thing. To me they are just terrible. Too many people who think they know better than everyone else, compounded by the fact that everyone else is too stupid to correct them. Add in the fact that there is zero accountability because you can...

Need help with an ID -.-

I'm embarrassed to even post this but I honestly have no clue. We picked up some ball pythons from a guy who couldn't keep them anymore, and one of the males was given to us as a yellowbelly. If this is a yellowbelly he's the cleanest one I've ever seen (meaning I don't think he is one). I...
