• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.
  • Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

For Sale Venus Fly Trap seeds

OK, out of the venus fly trap seed business. I had to let them go. Couldn't take care of them any longer, so I guess they have all died back by now. Not that there was all that much interest in them anyway.

    Hybrid Indigo Snakes?

I wouldn't mind seeing a hybrid between the eastern indigo and the keeled green snake. A big green snake with a red chin would be awesome! OK, coming back from being 12 years old again..... LOL!

This is another fine mess that I have gotten myself into.

Nope. No kids. I believe Connie feared child birth. So, her body, her choice. I doubt anyone here would miss me till the payments stopped for the lease of my server and the day would soon come after when this site would be gone. And they wouldn't really miss me, they would just miss the site...

All it takes is one JERK to ruin it for everyone...

Take a look at the look on the faces of those poor deer! Not according to them! Their lives are shattered!

This is another fine mess that I have gotten myself into.

I just realized that with my friend Rickey gone, I have no one to put on any of my medical forms where they ask for an emergency contact. When Pim is here, she likely would not be able to communicate with anyone anyway. And she certainly would not be able to drive me anywhere. Driving in...

All it takes is one JERK to ruin it for everyone...

A raccoon just HAD to knock over the bird bath that all the critters were using as a water source. You can tell the deer were very confused by this unexpected turn of events.

    Perk for advertisers

Hmm, didn't notice this before. Evidently this platform has a section set up to display advertisers here in their own little section. Seems like a nice, unexpected, perk to me.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. This is not a pleasant conversation. Read it at at your own risk.

I guess this is the sort of day when some people reflect on what they have to be thankful about. So yes, that did cross my mind today. But it was with mixed feelings. If you are easily offended, you might want to stop reading right here, right now. I am thankful that I am still alive. I...

    Boys and their toys

Took the new excavator out to my test area the other day to get some more hands-on experience with the controls. Dug a test hole then covered it back over. Yeah, I am definitely way down at the bottom of that learning curve.

Deer and turkeys prowling the grounds

Had the game camera out to monitor a live trap I was using to try to capture whatever varmint was terrorizing my tangerine trees. One of them already broke a branch off of one tree, so I wanted to catch that sucker and put an end to that kind of damage. But whatever it was never showed up again...

So what could be worse than the Burmese python invading the Everglades?

I think what really caught my attention with the above video is that I haven't seen much in the way of birds around here for several days. Usually they are mobbing the bird feeders I have outside the bedroom windows. Most mornings I would wake up and just watch the birds at the feeders. Not so...

So what could be worse than the Burmese python invading the Everglades?

Looks like there is a better than even chance that we may just find out. Watch through to the end. That is when it gets REALLY interesting. But they stopped before asking the one REALLY important question.

Only when I would have to be in a crowd.

Did you ever think about how words came to be?

For instance, I just got done taking a shower and noticed I was running low on something. So I made a mental note to go out to the kitchen afterwards and write it down on the list of things I need to pick up the next time I am out running errands. So I wrote it down and stared at the word. What...

    Boys and their toys

Saturday I opened up the crates that came with the excavator so I could put away the attachments that I got with it. Many were rather heavy, and I didn't want my back to start yelping, so I enlisted the aid of my tractor to pull them up and out of the crate, then lay them on the floor in my garage.

    Boys and their toys

So yeah, got a new toy to play with. Got to keep my mind and body occupied with something. Actually this all started when I had a problem with the septic tank in the old reptile building. Flushing started acting funny, so I had a plumber come out to look at it. Prognosis was that the outflow of...

    Confessions of an involuntary bachelor

Is it morally wrong for me to keep the clothes in the basket after they come out of the drier and just pick from there in the morning when I am getting dressed?
