    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Only after AddictedToBoa's post above did she actually change the site.

I'm not usually the demanding type, but I was grumpy and she made me mad lol. I'm glad to see she put something up, even if it was nearly a month after I posted, and several months after this thread popped up. It's a start, maybe it'll save some people some heartache.

However, I still don't forgive her, never will. She needs to leave the hobby after all of this.
 
Sorry to double post and for re-posting old info!

I would like it noted that Ashley used to have an "Our Animals" page, with pics and descriptions of snakes, and now it is gone. She couldn't write 'guilty' all over her operation more if she tried.

You cannot rule out IBD via testing if there was a confirmed case already in the collection. I do not know how many times I have to say that.

The tests available can currently confirm IBD, but not rule it out. The test cannot pinpoint the virus when it is inactive.

I didn't imply that she was in any way in the clear now, just that I thought actually mentioning IBD there was a good step to take, however miserably belatedly.

I don't think anyone was under the delusion she did it willingly out of philanthropy or concern for the animals, but at least it was finally done. That was all I was saying.
 
I'd like one more step taken in the right direction by Ash, by sharing information on Phoenix's death and the missing necropsies. That in my opinion could actually start to get helpful information rolling as to the health of other people's animals. But since it (probably) doesn't help her business to tell everyone how Phoenix died and share those necropsies I highly doubt any pressure here will produce a result, as it has not so far.

I actually agree with you there, and he reason she is not posting any necropsy results or the whatever else there is of the Burmese Python's necropsy is because they did not have necropsies performed. If there are any that did, they were NOT tested for IBD.

That's what we can assume as accurate until she comes to prove otherwise and so far, she hasn't. Judging on her past behavior, she won't.

At this point I'm worried about her unloading sick animals behind closed doors when she tires of keeping so many of them when she can't sell them.
 
Quite a few boas and pythons have been popping up on Craigslist in and around Killeen. Does anyone have Ashley's phone # so I can compare it to some of the ones I have saved?

Sadly I doubt this would be true. There are people known to have viruses/diseases in their collections that are still selling at shows in Texas, and the Texas herp community does nothing but sweep it under the rug and pretend it doesn't exist, so that it doesn't create a bias against them for being at the same show with potentially infected snakes, and thus hurt their businesses. I would not be surprised if Ashley showed up to vend at NARBC and everyone else turned their cheek to look the other way. I bet that more than one will be more than happy to sell to her since everyone in the hobby is hurting for sales.

Oh give me a break, Jen! Name one person that is known to have a disease in their collection and is selling at a Texas herp show. If you are referring to Damian Wyatt, like I have already told you, I vend at just about all of the Texas shows, and have for over 10 years now. I have not seen Wyatt at a show in at least 6 years, so let's see if you have the balls to name names of these supposed people. I've been a part of the Texas herp community for a long, long time; we are a tight community, and I don't take kindly to you making broad generalizations about us and making vague accusations!

Abish, sent you a PM. However just because the number may not match, doesn't mean she doesn't have friends listing for her.
 
Sorry to double post but wanted to add that I am being referred to another vet for testing of my snakes, who is about three hours drive one way from me. I am in the process of trying to organize a testing date for the boas from Ashley. If she does unload all the sick animals, and pretend she is clean, at least these two can be tested over a period of time.

And to you Ashley - if these snakes die because of you, don't think not responding to a forum and unloading animals makes it any better. I will never forget you, and if I cna seek legal action against you I will.
 
OH and NOW I realize why she took down the "our animals" page on her website.. so no one - people watching her activity, or people who bought the boas -could match those animals with ones being sold, by a friend or whoever. Great.
