    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Although it did surprise me a bit, I always thought Harald was an "old" guy. ;)
 
That cleared it up. It just seemed like the 3rd thread this week where some one was logged in as someone else.
 
Update

At the start of this thread, I promised to make it known if Sara paid me. After a few days, she made a brief (one line) post, stating that I would get the money. 3 weeks went by without a word from her on this thread, or any private communication to me. Then, on Friday, Feb 9, I received payment in full via postal money order (ok, it could have gotten here on Thursday, the 8th - I didn't check the mail that day). This matter is closed.

And to those of you that contacted me privately about this - a special thanks to each of you. Your offers truly meant a lot to me.
 
I am very happy for you Harald. Glad to see your kindness was not completely wasted.
 
I feel sad for Sara.
From when she first came here she was very helpfull to people ,amicable without the slightest bit of rudeness.
Its too bad sometimes people make one wrong decision that ends up effecting the way others view them afterwards,even after the proper amends have occurred.
Whats really too bad ,is that if Sara would have settled her debt,1 month earlier this might not have happend to her.

Good for you Sara ,its good when people pay back their debts.

I have not checked my PO BOX since Wednesday..... hopefully there will be a surprise for me as well from Sara when I check it on Monday. Then we can both put this to bed.

at least SHE actually paid him in the end, I on the other hand( and the two others), will probably never see the money from chris. so it does make me pretty darn glad for Harald that she actually came through.
 
Nothing wrong with being glad for Harald and hopefully Shrap too...

As for patting her on the back and telling her "good job" for doing something she should have done long ago, on her own without having to be pushed, there is something wrong with that...
 
I'm very sorry all this happened. I am not going to bring my personal excuses into this, but when it comes down to down to letting your family sleep on the streets or pay someone back $140, it's obvious what i was going to choose. Those of you that are my friends on LJ already know. I am just ashamed I couldn't do it on-time and i guess i was too proud to ask for a extention. I will not be able to be online or active on the forums in the forseeable future. I wish everyone the best of luck in their endeavours.

Gib, i hope my female ball python is doing well. Scott, your male is doing great and the female is definitely pregnant, he can be sent back whenever you like. Sammy, I will pay you back/send it back ASAP, i genuinely forgot about the thermostat. Anyone i have left out, please feel free to call me.

Yes, Sara, of course it is obvious what you are going to choose and you made the right choice. Anyone can be down on their luck. The multiple "the check is in the mail" stories and the lack of communication were, and still are, the problem.

Harald, I'm glad that you were repaid. I hope that the rest of you do truly get what you are owed.

Sara I agree with what JimO said above...
We all have hit tough spots in our lives and yeah we don't always do the right thing but your coming here is a good sign just wish you had done it earlier. Might be an idea to box that T-stat up and send it back to Sammy as soon as you possibly can... Randy
