Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Mealworm impaction?
Has anyone ever had a beardie become impacted due to mealworms consumption? Just wondering because I have fed a few meal worms to a few of my beardies and honestly never thought it would hurt them til I was looking it up and advice would be appreciated
Thanks

As long as you provide them with a proper hot spot (105+ degrees) and don't allow them to gorge themselves on them, you shouldn't have any problems. With mealworms and even superworms, only offer a few at a time. If you allow them to eat them until they're full and won't eat anymore, oftentimes they'll end up puking them up later. They can help to add some nice variety to their diet.

The biggest issue I have seen is with Bearded Dragons and food items is bad LPS advice vs baby beardies.
You buy a poorly cared for beardie (no temp gradient, no UV, no calcium, crowded in with other lizards) that is only 5-6" long. He probably needs special care the day you bring him home, but they tell you to just feed him mealworms and crickets and sell you a pack of worms that are half the length of the dragon or large crix that he can barely choke down.
An adult breardie can eat mealworms and superworms as long as the advice in the post above is followed.
The nutritional value is very questionable though, and if you want a quality food item, a lower chiton-to-meat ration is better and Dubia are one way to provide this. They are easy to raise, gut load well and are more prone to eat healthy foods. Mealworms eat a lot of cereals, especially those from breeders.

Dubia Roaches are really good for them. As are phoenix worms, but those can get expensive. Roaches you can start your own colony.
Depending on the age of the dragon they can become impacted from eating superworms or mealworms. Before they're 14"-16" long, they have a kink in their intestines and that can cause them to become impacted if they eat Supers or Mealies.
