Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Hey Overton,
Well that’s tough choice for me. I like them both. If I had the room I would get orange spot, discoid, death head, and 6-spot roaches along with the orange heads and lobsters. I guess I have a roach obsession. LOL.
The lobster roaches breed extremely fast but the downside is they are able to climb. This makes them a little harder to work with. The orange heads are non-climbers but don’t produce as fast as the lobsters. If I had to chose between the two the orange heads would barely win just because they don’t climb.

thank you. actually the female eating the pinkie is in shed in that picture. they have produced about 12 babies for me this year one of which is extremely orange (but pulled off his tail during a shed and ate it).
as far as the roaches... i know that clay davenport sells a spray on his website thats prevents roaches from climbing (when sprayed on a surface).

Hey Cody,
The roaches are sounding pretty cool, i'll have to investigate getting some. Right now i'm happy all of my geckos are eating mealworms as i really really don't like crickets.
I hope that my geckos will eat the pinkies, i don't know what i'd do with them if no one ate them LOL.....
Thanks for the info,
Red

Chad,
For being in shed, she still looks awesome. That sucks. It’s always the nice ones that lose their tails. I know how that feels.
I looked on Clay’s website and I only found the bug stop. That’s what I’m currently using. I wish it was a spray because it would be easier to apply.
Lianne,
Roaches are cool. I was skeptical when I first got them but they really are great. I will not use crickets ever again, as I hate them too.
Only a hand full of my geckos will eat pinkies, but they have to be live. A few years back I had a female that took them frozen/thawed.

So I can see how you keep the lobsters from climbing out of "there" enclosure. But what about all the different "Geckos" enclosures, when you are feeding them?
Won't they climb out? (I have about 3/16 to 1/4 inch between the roof and the top of the enclosures

Yeah that’s the problem I was having at first. What I do is crush their heads. What this does is paralyze them to where they can’t run around real fast or climb. They wiggle still which attracts the gecko’s attention. Then they are served in a petri dish. I know it seems cruel but it works.
