Biting differences noted from corucia ssp.
Leeway Corucia Research Center (LCRC)
A noted aspect of behavior (not necessarily etched in stone but from
personal observation from many members of both subspecies):
Czz Corucia zebrata zebrata - underlined ( Standard archipelago monkey skink) Individuals tend to bite hard and let go.
Cza Corucia zebrata alfedschmidti -underlined (Northern Solomon Monkey skink) Individuals tend to bite hard and hang on with bull dog tenacity. This may be subjective in the long run, but at least at present, there seems some validity to the observation.
Cza's tend to torque in crocodilian fashion as well in biting. Czz's do not twist in biting.
Sincerely,
Brian
