Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

weird colors
My rommate's lucsitic T. ratsnake is getting some grey brown spots on his head and belly, is this a shedding thing? He has been soaking a bit lately.

I thought scale rot was more pink or orange. It is on the top of his head. He looks all pink right now, perhaps going into shed? I've never seen a lucy in shed mode!! What does it looks like with all that white? If he stays the same in a few days, I will be bringing him in to my vet, but he otherwise looks/acts ok.

Have any pics? When mine go into shed, they get pink, so thats probably why he's a pinkish color...some leucies just have scales that are different colors than the rest...I have seen some with orange colored scales, and with greyish-brown colored scales...shouldn't be anything to worry about.
