Housing boas together

Do you think it would be a problom if I housed 2 female redtails together in a cage that was of appropriate size? Or vice versa 2 males?

Housing 2 animals together year round can be done. But I advise against it. The risks involved with illness and stress isn't worth the space savings. Plus makes feeding time a huge hassle.

It is not recommended to house two boas together.
They could cause stress to each other by competing for the best hot or cool spots,etc etc.It could also be dangerous during feeding days.
Safer & easier to house them seperate.

Not to mention, if one falls ill for whatever reason, the other is likely to follow. Keeping them together makes it hard to know who is hydrating or defecating as well.

The list for not keeping Boas together is much much longer then the list of reason to do it. Best for the Boa to keep them separate.

Are you planning on breeding them? When I kept boas just as pets I would keep them together without any issues at all. At one time kept a ball python and a boa together without issue. They would actually sleep together. The biggest thing to watch out for is when you feed them, they MUST be seperated.

If you're planning on breeding them though, they should be kept seperately.
