    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey guys I don't like to bash people BUT. Anyway, I bought a couple geckos from a guy on this forum. So I was going to leave a positive trader rating, but wasn't able to. I sent an email to to ask why I wasn't able to. I was then told I had to be a paying member. Well that is all good so I asked webslave if there was anyway that positive trader rating could be sent to the guy I bought the geckos from. Well then I recieved a smart ass email for no good reason. I wasn't not once replying with a bad attitude until I got bad attitude. If anyone dosen't believe this shoot me an email and I'll forward it to you to show what an ASSHOLE this guy is. I understand that non-paying members can't leave trader ratings no need to be a asshole. :censored: :angry:

Let me get this straight....
1) You were unable to leave a trader rating
2) You emailed WebSlave to ask why
3) You were told that the trader rating system could only be accessed by paid members
4) You understand and accept this
5) You email WebSlave saying (something to the basic effect of) ok, but can I do it anyway, or could you submit it for me?

Is that basically correct, up to that point?
 
I'll grant you that #5 above sounds like a smart ass response...but if you know and understand that non-paying members cannot use the system, what was the basis of that second email (in which you asked if a rating could be submitted for that person)?
 
Since this is the BOI, it is common practice to POST YOUR PROOF for everyone to see and make their own judgement...copy & paste is easy, but make sure you include ALL the pertinent info. You know, headers that include date/time/etc.
It's not nice to make a statement like this without posting what proof you allegedly have.
 
I assure you its worse than the way you are portraying it he only sent one message when he asked them to take care of the reply he was getting it was saying he was not logged in nothing about being a paying customer, then the message saying you should be a paying customer, then double d replied with thats a bummer, then web slave went off on him and it was very rude and out of context, I know I have the whole conversation and messages I just think he did not need be treated like he was he was only asking and he got the response and just said bummer, and didn't need to be responded to with such sarcasm he did'nt deserve it all he was doing was trying to leave a trader rateing he did nothing in which the way web slave reacted was warrented I asure you thatI have the whole thing on e-mail, I'd be glad to show you to. I dont like bashing people either but the first response would have been sufficient.

I tend to agree, Troi. I've never been big on the "I'm going to make this post, email me if you want to see what its about" approach. Of course, if emails are to be posted, the emails from BOTH parties should be shown.
 
Pretty much I'am saying that the way double D was treated was not right, so if your not a paying customer you get treated poorly and treated like an idiot!!!! Its not right!!! You get farther in life with sugar rather than vineger, Just a simple You cant do trader rateings if your not a paying customer would have been just fine and would have gotten the point across, dont know why he had to be so sarcastic and rude!!!!

First... punctuation... it's your friend.
Second, you posting and saying YOU have the emails is still hearsay, and not any evidance at all.
You wouldn't walk into a store and ask to have a free candy bar, and after being told you have to pay for candy bars then ask "Well.. can I just eat one anyway?"

But... to the OP... given that perhaps Webslave was having a bad day.. and he was sarcastic in his reply... are you seriously going to think that posting a bad guy report because someone was "sarcastic" to you is warranted? Really? I believe the term that I've heard used is "butthurt". Get over it.
And post your emails.. including your email, and let everyone see just how rude and mean Webslave was to you.

As I mentioned in the PM, I am not going to speak for Rich...or assume to explain his response. I'm sure he'll address it when he sees this thread.
My initial response was as a member of this site...but I realize that being a moderator colors the way my posts are interpreted. (people forget that I am a person, too, and not everything is official) As such, I'll step back and try to leave the commentary to others.
 
OK, correct me if I am wrong, but I recently read a sticky on the infractions system that stated 3rd hand info is a 'ding-able' offense...(re: posts 5 & 7)
Harald, you are absolutely correct regarding both parties posting their proof. I contend, though, that it's very ballsy of one newbie--let alone 2--to through out blatant accusations about the site owner...and the fact that Donnie is apparently willing to send HIS version of the correspondence to someone states away, but won't post it here? It's ludicrous, I tell ya, just ludicrous!
 
Yet another waste of the BOI...... I can't see where this pretains to a business transaction. So Webslave was rude.... We are all entitled to bad days every once in awhile. Not to mention there is a forum to address site related issues. Not every question has to be sent directly to Rich. Can you just imagine how many he must get? Man up and move on. This thread is not going to benefit you at all.....
 
I thought a BAD GUY was someone who stole money--endangered animals---or something else underhanded.

If being a dick was BOI worthy, I'd be famous.

A good guy or bad guy thread is supposed to be about dealing with someone regarding a sale etc..

someone you talked to that you dislike is NOT a case for a boi thread.. If you wanted to vent, you should have taken this to Hell, or to the BS thread..

OMG I nearly busted a gut with the smartie reply. You don't have to be a smartie LMAO.... I think my 7 year old still uses terms like that. I do not see where Rich was rude until you fired at him with your comments....
 
I have to say that (IMO) both the OP, and Adam, misrepresented the content of those emails...which is probably why they weren't posted til Rich got here.
