As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

american toad breeding
hello wondering if anyone has ever bred american toads or newts in a naturalistic terrarium. thank you

never have, but it can't be too difficult. just gather many adults in a large terrarium, with a bdy of water, then simulate a night time rain. Every time I see them breeding in the wild it's in an orgy like fashion just after a rain fall at night in the spring.

No one has ever bred them indoors without the use of hormone injections. Artificial cycling hasn't worked with anyone who's attempted it. You might have luck with adults collected in early spring after they first come out of brumation and start calling. But so far no one has cycled and bred american toads in captivity.
