i took an 03 albino male that was kinda starved.he hadnt been fed in a few months.
i fed him 2 medium rats,1 the day i got him and 4 days later.
he pooped but then today he gave some runny looking tan stuff.
can you tell me whats going on with him??
i have an idea, but i'm new to boa's but not reptiles.

Runny boa

Rich, I can't tell you what's wrong with your boa. I can tell you that you must keep this boa very far away from the rest of your animals. Do not move refused meals from one cage to another,,. Keep the cage spotless. The next reptile show you go to, pick up a bottle of chlorhexidine. Reptile Basics sells it and they will probably ship it to you. It costs a little, but a little goes a long way. Mix a capfull or two to one gallon of water. Then you can pour it into a spray bottle as you need it. Clean all off your big waste out, then spray it down ,corners, floor, walls and ceiling. Then wipe it out really well. After that you may want to go over it with paper towels and water. Wipe it dry. I would not feed your boa that often. Feeding your snake twice in four days is not recommended. Go at least seven days between feedings. See what happens a week after his next feeding. If you see anything you think is out of the ordinary, bring it to Vet. specialist. Also you may not be keeping your snake warm enough. At least eighty degrees on the cool side of the cage, ninety-ninety four on the basking side. It sounds though , like you may need a vet. Keep a close eye on him. Keep him warm. Keep him clean. Don't overfeed him. And remember to quarantine him from the rest of your animals. Wash your hands well after touching him and his stuff. Do not touch any other animals until you do this. Good luck.

This is good stuff and safe to clean the cages with. Use distilled water to mix with it or it will cloud up on you from the contaminates in tap water. It last's me over a year with 16 cages getting cleaned.

You need to get a syringe and suck up some fresh runny poop and get it to a vet for parasite testing is your best bet.

Also this stuff has been known to fix digestive issues on many snakes.

Good luck.
