Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

has anyone used the new herp stats??
I just went to look at buying a couple herp stats and noticed that they discontinued the herp stats i'm use too and have newer ones starting at $99.
Has anyone used one yet?
And also, what do you think about the viv 4? does it truly control all 4 as good as they say? It would be cheaper to buy the viv 4 and not buy 4 separate $99 ones?
Thanks
Rich

Thanks Tommy
They are still selling the pro model but are discontinued now.
All the old models are discontinued. They have all new stuff now.But i can get a pro model for $285 plus little shipping.Maybe thats the route i will take. They still offer a 1 year warranty on the older models.
I like my normal herp stats and keep the cages at temps i set or very very close.

My bad,I haven't needed to follow such as the H-Stat Pro's I run are still running fine(5+yrs)
After checking I see the updated versions they now sell, less then impressed with their "improvement, additions and fluff".
The old style units(design) worked just fine

i think i will buy 1 of the original pro's.Thats what i wanted in the beginning but didnt have the $ to buy them.I bought 1 herp stat at a time.I would like a pro model for my male rack now.

I have a herpstat4 and love it. I was using helix's and this is so much better. We bought two of them and would never go back. It truly does do 4 racks, give a good output level for each rack, and can separately control each of them. By far worth the money

mine is a herpstat pro. It looks like the new one just does a few other things such as tell you your current temp, target temp, and output. More features are always nice, and from spyder robotics they are going to actually work!

I bought the Herpstat intro when it came out to use for an incubator. Has not given me any problems at all. It also has was more functions than I need (which is not a bad thing). Oh, and it is a flush mounted unit which is awesome! I built mine right into the side of the incubator.
