Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Hatchling Food
I am having my first clutch of ball pythons and they hatch in another two weeks and I need to purchase food for them. I have searched all over the internet and got way too many different types of answers and I just want to know whats the best size rat/mice to feed them. I also only feed frozen thaw. Thanks!

Getting them started on frozen thawed may be hard. Live rat pinks or larger fuzzy micearte what I use to start. But if they will start on thawed for you awesome. This typically needs to be thought of before baby come but you could get two large adult mice or rats and 1 male of the same sizeand if they wont take the frozen thawed,by the time its a big problem you should have babys(ones to feed). Hope this helps

I use hopper mice. Even when I fed f/t, I always started babies on live prey.

Live hoppers to get them started. After they eat steadily you can switch to f/t but to get the first few meals in them, be prepared to offer live.

Live mouse hoppers here. I think it sets off their strike instinct.

Well thank god I asked this question and I'm happy that my pet store has live mice and rat babies because they breed them. Thanks all for the responses!

Just a question...I know I have to feed them live for the first couple of times, but after that what size frozen thaw should I order? Does fuzzy rats sound okay? Thanks.
