Clearly, the OP begs to differ. Since the thread's been posted in the proper format, it's here to stay. It'll just have to be up to individual readers to decide just how much of a Bad Guy the seller's actions make him.Is this thread solely because he asked for the Paypal payment to be sent as friends/gift?
If so, that does not mean he is a Bad Guy.

I am saying that there is no proof of this person being a Bad Guy (scammer, etc.,) and that for solely the reason, that was pointed out, does not automatically make a person a Bad Guy (scammer, etc.)
I will say that it's pretty hard to make an argument for such a seller to be considered much of a Good Guy. He's simultaneously trying to defraud PayPal out of their fees and putting buyers in a position where they'll have no recourse through PayPal.
You're obviously making the mistake of thinking that your opinion is gospel and should be shared by all. Sadly, you're wrong.
I absolutely does prove that the seller is trying to scam PayPal, so even based solely on that, let's hear your argument against the idea that this seller is a "scammer".However, it still does not automatically prove that the person is going to scam a buyer.
And with each of those threads, it'd still be up to the readers to decide just what the subject's actions mean to them. With the number of sellers, who do request payment be sent, as a gift (or with buyer paying fees), this BOI would be filled, to the gills, with names.
Where did I say my word is gospel? It is my opinion. You don't have to agree with me. I was just trying to explain where I am coming from.
Just don't understand why you are behaving the way you are. Did someone steal your cookies?

I agree that it is trying to scam Paypal if request is made that payment be sent as a gift (so seller does not have to pay fees).
I am simply saying that it does not mean/prove that the seller is going to scam the buyer.
That said, I would recommend that nobody send payment as a gift. I sure wouldn't send payment, to a seller, as a gift.
With that, there still needs to be clarification, from the OP, if that is even the case or if it is a case of different names (seller vs. Paypal account).
You're wasting your time by continuously whining about the OP's choice of the thread's header icon. Not only is that pointless, I suspect that it'd be considered very much off-topic.![]()
I don't know if you are intentionally attempting to be antagonistic, or if you are actually dense, but ... my posts have nothing to do with the OP's title/icon choice.
Whining? That's rich.![]()
With that, I am done trying to discuss anything with you.
So, now it matters just who someone intends to scam? Scamming an insanely rich corporate entity is somehow better than scamming Joe Blow?I agree that it is trying to scam Paypal if request is made that payment be sent as a gift
my posts have nothing to do with the OP's title/icon choice.
Can't imagine where I could have possibly gotten that impression....If so, that does not mean he is a Bad Guy.
not quite "Bad Guy" worthy.![]()
it does not, automatically, make him a "Bad Guy".
I think I've already abundantly illustrate my point. Unless something new and relevant comes along, there's not much more to say. Go ahead and have the last word.I am saying that there is no proof of this person being a Bad Guy (scammer, etc.,)
I just sent him a payment and am now reading this...he said he'd ship a diamondback terrapin at the latest on wednesday with overnight shipping to me, and it is now thursday with nothing yet, but UPS comes around 6 and its 3:38. Did I get scammed...?
