• Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Last week I purchased a Rhino Iguana and two baby Argentine Red Tegus from Josh Reese for $350 shipped and $345 shipped, respectively. I paid by sending the sums through PayPal. He established communication for both sales and we set the shipping date for Monday October 19th w/ arrival October 20th. I requested the tracking number from him last night, the 19th and did not receive a response. This morning, the 20th, I requested the tracking number again. I've basically been on Fauna all day today waiting for any sort of response from this seller. WHILE he was blatantly ignoring my numerous requests for the shipping info on his associated email addresses, his fauna private message inbox, and his public message board he threw up two new classified ads and responded to others (PROOF BELOW). Its almost 9pm and I've received no reptiles or tracking number.

He's been deleting his old for-sale threads shortly after the animals are purchased and doesn't maintain communication post sale. Both PayPal addresses he provided do not match his name, he's got no public reputation on this site and he only created his profile 8 days ago.. Unfortunately to me this all screams a scam.

Regardless, the facts are I paid 700 dollars for reptiles I never received and no shipping information has been provided despite repeated and continuous requests.

I'd strongly urge not doing business with this seller and if you have already I'd make sure you're able to get your money back or the goods paid for.

There is an extremely high probability this is Kendrick Nuttall. Contact Paypal immediately. Also, contact the two people at those Paypal addresses and try to find where they were supposed to send whatever he was getting from them and any information they have. You are all victims of the scam.

I have (at least temporarily) restored the recently deleted Cuban rock iguana ad he had. I may restore the others mentioned here. Share every shred of information you can to help others, please.

Sorry to hear that man.. It took me a night to find the picture to post for proof.. Just the price alone should have raised some questions.. Anyways, as soon as I posted my reply linking to the UK pet shop, the OP immediately deleted the post and I really couldn't pursue it much further.. I am sorry to hear you lost your money.. If there is anything else I can do please let me know..

I restored that, by the way, and I sincerely appreciate your contribution there.

When I saw the ad, I immediately recognized that I had seen the exact same picture before **somewhere** on Instagram.. I looked for a long time that night but came up with nothing.. I looked again the next day and ended up finding the post.. U.K. The_world_of_fish account.. I tried to post before anyone lost any money.. I am sorry I couldn't get the info sooner..

This is the photo from the Red Tegu ad..

And I've contacted PayPal, I should be refunded in ten days thankfully. I just want to let other people know.. I know some others have bought from him within the past few days.

I really wish we could get some of these scammers prosecuted. As is, there's just not enough risk so they keep doing it, worst case they get called out and make up another fake name next week.

I did a search, turned up nothing. Who is Kendrick Nuttall?

Its blatant outright scams like this that really hurt the core and heart of soul of this hobby!
We rely heavily on trust on all sides, this blatant disregard for this trust slowly eats away at the whole hobby
I swear that if these scammers put half as much effort into doing an honest days work as they do in concocting their next scheme, they would become a worthwhile productive member of the human race and the world might slowly start to become a better place.
As it stands their worthless, selfish acts are dragging down this hobby and the rest of society with it.

:(:(

Its funny to me how most of these scams originated from FaunaClassifieds to begin with. I bet if Fauna charged people a small fee ( maybe a buck a month ) to post ads that a lot of these scams would be eliminated.

Just my .02

He did the same thing on Facebook. Not merely Fauna. I also believe he got many more via FB than through Fauna.

While I do not disagree that charging for ad placement creates a manner of barrier for entry for certain tiers of scammers, it does not prevent scammers from operating through, just as an example, pay-for-posting places such as Kingsnake. Things tend to prod each other to coevolve in mutual and staggered response.

I do not find that to be true, I have seen numerous complaints on here about outside deals and even deals done at "Reptile Shows".

I am going to say that true scams have a tendency to originate here or facebook. Not a bad shipper, or bad business, or bad guy. I am talking about a true scam. Send your money and never get what you paid for scam. It would be interesting to see just how many of these like this one actually originated from fauna.

I am so interested that I am going to go through the BOI and check. Thanks
