I have to offer one of the coolest species of Xenosaurus. 2.2 Xenosaurus Sanmartinensis. This is a larger species of Xenosaurus similar to Grandis. Once considered a sub species of Grandis they have recently been elevated to their own species level. This is a very rare species of Xenosaurus in the hobby and I am not aware of many people working with them. Here is a great opportunity to obtain a well established cbb unrelated group. This species is know only from a restricted area in the volcanic Los Tuxtlas range of southeastern Veracruz... More specifically in the vicinity of Volcan San Martin as their Latin name implies. They have incredibly beautiful bright orange eyes that are not well represented in the photo. For those of you that are familiar with Xenosaurus Platyceps, Xenosaurus Sanmartinensis is much stockier in build and nearly twice the size as adults. They are very easy to care for prefering temps in the mid 70's and humid. I use a combination of slate and cork flats to provide them with a rock outcrop type of environment which is necessary for them. UV lighting is not needed although I do provide it for them along with a small basking spot. A daily heavy misting keeps the humidity at a suitable level for them. All the animals in this group are 100% flawless and healthy.
