Interior Coatings for DIY Wood Enclosure

I would like to build my own plywood enclosure for a boa. Large. approx 120 square feet of interior surface area. I believe the best option is probably Pond Armour 2 part epoxy coating. For my cage, I would need to buy the 1.5 Gallon kit that costs about $320.00 !!!!! are there other options that any of you have used that seal and protect the wood from humidity and are safe for reptiles? Thanks.

Wayne
