The Welcome Room & New Member Intros How about a place for new members to come on in, make an introduction, and meet the regulars? Talk about yourself or anything else that comes to mind, just to break the ice. Or just pull up a chair and make yourself at home for a spell.

New and curious

im new at this site and i wanted to ask a few questions. first, i am planning on buying a striped scorpion and need information on its needs, tank, logs, water dishes, etc. all i know so far is that they eat crickets and mealworms and thats about it. i would also like to talk with someone about their care and such. finally i would like to ask where i should put this or if someone could put it in the appropriate forum. sorry for all the hassle. thanx

Johnathan,
Do you know the Latin/scientific name for this scorpion? I'm afraid that "striped" scorpion isn't enough to go on.
Where are you getting it from?

Centruroides vittatus is the scientific(or latin if you prefer) of the scorpion. I apologize for taking so long to reply but i come with good news. I just got the little bugger today. I am still curious about its care, how to determine its sex, and any other info about its habits and i would like to talk to some one who owns and/or knows all of my questions. As soon as i get my scanner back up, i'll post a picture. And again, sorry for the delay
