    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Has anyone dealt with djsreptiles2005

I believe, although am not 100% certain, that that would be Dallas Spergin. If so, then he and I did a fairly large transaction (I was the seller) earlier this year and everything went smoothly.

Even though their emails are very similiar, after further review, I do not believe this to be Dallas. I found some old ads here on Fauna and they indicate they are on the east coast. Dallas lives in Ohio. Sorry for the confusion.

I have tried to deal with them in the past. Back in late Sept I was going to buy one of the het carmel males. Jennifer was wonderful with communication UNTIL the snake was supposed to be shipped out. The first ship was postponed due to temps- no problem I understand that. Second ship date, the "carrier picked up the wrong box". She did not call or email to let me know this, I had to get ahold of her when the snake did not show up. Third no ship was due to "car problems". Again, no phone call, no email. Each time, there was NO communication to let me know that there was a problem. I personally would not recommend her, but who knows, maybe there really were those issues she claimed and this was just a bad experience. I did end up cancelling the deal and getting my money back.

Ahh but when I first looked for info on her, I saw nothing on the BOI, and she was listed at the top of the Ball Python for sale area as a classified sponsor. Silly me thought at that time that all people were honest here :rofl: That was when I had first joined Fauna- learned quite a bit in the short time I have lurked here. There are a handful of people I would trust but just as many that I know to stay away from thanks to the BOI (even with the attacks lately, the BOI is still helpful- at least to newbies!)

BOI is Board of Inquiry which is where this is posted at. At the top right, there is a button that says search this forum- type in the name you are looking for and it will pull all posts that mention that persons name. Lot of name calling on some posts but if you wade thru it, this forum does have good points and can keep you from making a really bad deal or knowing who to trust.

Yes, I definitely agree with Bill. I wish we had asked. It has been over a month since I had paid for a ball python and during that time I had to file a paypal complaint that was found in my favor while they staled in paying me back my money. Not fun...that is the first and last time that is going to happen to me!

Just because it says they sponsor doesn't mean anything.

I am just seeing this thread and would like to depfend as it were myself! As far as these two transactions I was totally honest with these people. I went through a terrible stroke of bad luck last year. I have even closed my online store due to the events that have taken place over the course of 6 horrible months(bad luck after bad luck:( ). Mrs Rosen was not, shall I say the easiest person to deal with by any means:hot: . She wanted to buy from me. She paid me and I had a problem with the first ship date and had to reschedule it. When I went to schedule the shipping I found that my carrier would NOT guarentee Ovenight. I was extremely hesitant on shipping this animal due to that fact and sent a copy from the shipping company highlighting the area that stated that they could not guarentee next day due the "remote location". I also stated that I was going to send her a refund. She emailed me back saying that she had, had many animals shipped to her using the same carrier and had always gotten them next day as planned. I still felt uncomfortable, but decided to MAYBE give this a shot(though I was worried for the animals safety) and sceduled the pick up for the shipment for the following Monday(I was only shipping on Mondays at the time). The carrier never came on that day(I am still not sure why and I did not find out until the next day from my friend who was waiting for the carrier all day). Then I was going to take off of my regular work the next day to get the animal out when I got the email from Rosen saying the snake had not arrived(I had just found out it had not gone out myself). I emailed her back and BEFORE she read it she filed a claim against me through Paypal. This put a FREEZE on all moneies in that account. I bred and sold reptiles as a small side business(not really to make a ton of money) so all the money I had to spare and for shipping animals was in the account. I did not find out about the freeze until the day I went to ship her animal out and there was no money available due to a freeze on the $$$. I had to take double the money from my own pocket(and the money for food for me & my kids) to resolve this. Needless to say...I wish the woman would have checked her email before filing a claim. It would have solved alot of problems and I would have refunded her money straight from the Paypal account(which I DID offer FROM the START of the problems!), but instead it took me longer to get her money back to her because I had to take money from my own pocket(trust me I was scraping every dime I had) to resolve the issue. Anyways, Mrs. Rosen got her money back! I have only had to give refunds to 3 people and that was a guy whom bought a tree frog from me that was killed due to a power outage the day before it was to be shipped out(money refunded within 48 hrs). Another due to a change of mind by the customer(money refunded within 72 hrs) and Mrs Rosen(which took a long time due to the situation above). I have had 3 animals die during shipping (2 were FREE animals I offered to the customers and there were other animals in those shipments that were just fine...not sure what happened because all the animals they paid for were fine) and 1 I replaced FREE and PAID the shipping(lost money on that one, but I felt horrible for the customer and the animal. That was the first animal I ever shipped). Also, if you check my ebay feedback(jjames2006) or my reptileauctions.com feedback(djsreptiles05) you will see I have always try to sell my animals as honestly as I possible could. If you have any ?? to ask me or if you want to see the emails I sent Mrs Rosen as proof please email me at [email protected]. I am a pretty laid back person and always try to talk out problems. Please feel free to ask me anything. I am not dealing in live animals anymore after I sell off the last of my breeding stock, but I have plans for a online supply store. Shipping animals is too tricky and worrysome.

If you are NOT dealing in live animals anymore, why then just a week ago were you posting looking for pairs of animals. I stand by my original thought, I would not trust you and I would not recommend you.
