<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> The NY legislature is at it again. &nbsp;They are trying to make it illegal for people to own snakes and reptiles among other animals. &nbsp;The bill number is State Assembly Bill A7375 and State Senate Bill &nbsp;S4755. &nbsp;You can go to http://assembly.state.ny.us and enter the bill number in &quot;Quick Bill Search&quot;. &nbsp;
&nbsp; The Long Island Herpetological Society has a petition going at http://www.petitiononline.com/9673.petition.htm Please sign it even if you are not in NY. &nbsp;This is very important. &nbsp;If they get a foothold in any state it will spread. &nbsp;I will also post it a link from my site at http://www.wormman.com. Please pass this information on. &nbsp;
&nbsp;Thank you.

Thanks for bringing this to the forefront again Ken. The link that Ken provided can also be used to find out who your representatives are. Send them a personal e-mail!! Make it coherent and non-confrontational. I e-mailed 3 of my representatives, and received responses from all 3, saying they appreciated the input, and that they would take all that I had said into consideration if the bill ever comes to the floor for a vote. When you contact them, AT LEAST THEY ARE AWARE THAT WE ARE OUT HERE AND CONCERNED!!

Thanks, &nbsp;Bryan

It took some detective work to find out where exactly this petition is located. I found it at

http://www.PetitionOnline.com/9673/petition.html

and hope this URL works for you.
