Look, the medium in each vial is activated once water has been added. The Melaongaster is placed in each vial. We know from good experience (15 years in the business) that 12 hours after the flies have been introduced, they will begin to drop eggs. Thats it. Their is nothing to read into.
So I hope that answers your question. But let me just take it one step further. So as to familiarize you with our business since you brought up the topic. When we receive an order , including Jasons trade, I pass the information to the people who actually fill the order and create the cultures. I dont prepare them in a little closet or a basement. That is not my responsibility. Each culture contains 50 to 100 flies. We do not segregate females from males, but the flies that we shipped Jason as well as many other people , propagate in 12 to 15 days producing more flies. (Their are some rules to that) but that is basically how it works. Jason may not have told you , but between the 2 shipments we sent Jason approx. 5000 Melanogaster. Thats allot of flies.
The people who prepare the cultures, never know who the orders are for. They just receive an amount, and provide the vials, or the containers. We dont hide things, or short change people, and we run a reputable business. We maintain one of the largest facillities in the country, and we are USDA approved for shipping , and licenced in every state except the territories.
After re-reading your questions, I sense some sarcasim, and I dont mean to trivialize any legitimate inquiries, but we know what we are doing. Its a area, that really goes beyond this thread.
I am responding out of courtesy, but their has to be a conclusion to this. For the 3rd and final time, this post pertains to Jason Perillo, not the business that I am employed in, nor fruitfly cultures or their egg production.
Its about your friend who hopefully has been embarrassed enough to realize that , he thought he could get away keeping monies without even providing the animals.
If I have not answered your questions satisfactorily, about our business procedures, please email us privately and I will be more than happy to provide additional information.
So as not to confuse the issue, you are correct, you misquoted your statement about collecting eggs. We dont collect anything. The flies drop the eggs in the containers they are shipped in. They (the eggs) are not visiable with the naked eye.
ps. I appreciate you sticking up for Jason, but if your smart, limit your business activities. Its a loosing proposition with his attitude.
