    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

For adoption is a beautiful Alligator Snapping Turtle, roughly 6 inches in length. It is currently feeding on Mazuri and Krill with great enthusiasm. Please be willing to discuss snapper care. Will be available at the Hamburg PA Expo, January 8th. $200

I believe it is illegal to sell turtles within NJ, but not to sell turtles from NJ to other states (reciepient states allowing, of course). There are certainly several breeders/dealers/sellers, e.g. Garden State Tortoise, Gangemi, etc. who sell turtles out of NJ. It's also my understanding that non-protected turtles can be sold into NJ, but again only non-protected species, and they must be accompanied by a receipt from the out-of-state seller. I'm from FL though, so what do I know?

Correct, and that's why the OP changed the terms of the ad, to stay within the law.

Funny to bring up certain sellers in this sort of discussion, though. LOL.

As a blanket statement, that is not true. If you are not interested in the item for sale, you shouldn't add needless banter to for sale threads.

My post falls under the rules outlined here.

As to the legal question (contextually relevant information about wildlife laws is never "needless"), if the link I provided isn't clear enough, I'd be happy to take part in a discussion in the appropriate subforum here with anyone who starts a thread on the matter.

Again, good luck with the sale, Rob. :)
