In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I had an incubator malfunction this year and I ended up with lots of small bumps on the tails of nearly everything I hatched in 2008. Many of these were repeat pairings from 2007 of the exact same parents and yielded no deformities in 2007. Because of these bumps I'll be selling these snakes below market value. These are not visible kinks but bumps you can feel with your fingers. They seem to be getting less noticeable as they grow. Feel free to contact me if you have further questions.

Everything is now sold. Thanks.

Would deformities like these be passed on to future offspring? Would it be considered taboo to breed snakes with a minor deformity like this? Or are these being sold as pets?

Responding to PMs now.

Based on the fact that identical pairings produced no deformities in 2007 and then I had deformities in every clutch in this incubator I feel confident that they are not genetic. However, just like selling a perfect specimen, I cannot guarantee anything about these snakes. I have sold and traded these babies to good friends of mine if that gives you any reassurance.

To say sold as pets or breeding is just to say.. Your answer is within the buyer.. And what he/she chooses is their choice..

Sorry if it sounded like I was questioning your integrity. I was just curious. I know more about koi breeding then snake breeding, and with koi the practice is to actually destroy any animals with deformities.

i work at a research lab and talked to a genetists at work, and he said because the deformities happend in the incubator, they will not (to the best of his knowledge) be passed on to future generations. but nothing is in stone.

good luck with these david.

Yes I guess that makes sense. If it was a replication abnormality during development, the dna would still be fine. And if it happened to multiple animals the same way during incubation, it sounds like that would be the case. The only risk would be if they are viable (if reproductive system was also effected during development).

Anyway, good luck with the sale.

I bought 2 females from David around Christmas and can just faintly feel ANY bump's or kinks... The girls are doing great (so is a 3rd adult female I got the same night)!
Thanks David!
Rebecca~
