Unlike most species of frogs, male pyxies grow larger than the females, attaining sizes of up to 10 inches. These '09 captive bred juveniles are quarter to half dollar size, and will grow rapidly. Babies will take small to medium size dusted crickets, mealies and red worms or just about anything else they can fit in their mouth, including each other. With that said, it is important to house them individually! Adults will take larger prey, including an occasional rodent.
