1.1 ‘15 CB Aesculapian Ratsnakes Zamenis longissimus
Not many snakes have a history like this one. The Romans considered them sacred and believed they had healing powers. They took them from Italy to the ends of their Empire to reside in their temples....certainly the first manipulated range of any herp. Due to their healing powers, they are the species represented on the modern caduceus (medical symbol).
Both animals are around 16” long, 18g, easy to handle, and eating F/T pinks.
