    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Imported in June 2018. Preemptively treated for parasites with fenbendazole as part of their quarantine, but I haven't gotten fecals done.

I can basically write out a small care guide to take care of them, but they'd be better with someone with more experience since some of it (such as how to trigger proper breeding behavior) would be mostly based on deductions made from research articles on the species, but I have not actually attempted it yet. They also appear to have a few particular needs to encourage their natural behavior, and a few other particular quirks keeping them.

They appear to favor temperatures around 77-85F with a basking spot up to 98 degrees fehrenheit. I could be wrong, but this seems to be what keeps them the most active. Humidity is ~42% but this might not be what they prefer. Suspecting that these are Honduras-Guatamalan locale.

They have been introduced and living together since June 2019. They get along great with no issues and have been kept together since. They'll feed, drink, sleep, dig, forage, den, and bask together. No breeding behavior though.

I forgot to get their weights, both are roughly around ~10 gram size. Full grown for their species, they haven't grown since I've had them. I'm assuming they're now 2.5+ years old.

Personality-wise the male is more laid back and will tong feed, the female is cautious and will hide any moment something other than food comes into the tank.
