These Palmettos have been outcrossed with Wild Caught Corn (Red Rat) genes.
The Wild Caught Grandsire to these Palmettos was found on a golf course in Central Florida many years ago. As you can see, he is extremely red and hypo looking. Many of the wild corns in this area exhibit this awesome appearance.

The Het Palmetto pair that I produced from this Wild Caught male and Palmetto female are also very reddish and hypo looking as well…and they are both huge! This is only the second year they’ve been bred.
