this pair of alterna was captive born last summer. They are well established on f/t mice. The unrelated f1 dams parents were collected on Juno road, val verde county texas. The offspring from last years clutches included equal numbers of blairs and alterna phased animals.
The male alterna ( top ) is 14" feeding on unscented large f/t pinks
the female blairs ( middle ) 17" feeding on f/t fuzzies
