Definite win for someone that is looking for a ready to go monitor project. I have for sale a guaranteed female that has started laying eggs and supposedly captive bred in US. She is a phenomenal girl who likes to spend time with people, always ready to come out. Highly aggressive food response to anything offered. Unsure of her age, but I have had her for three years. This girl goes on rides on our side by side and many other adventures.
On another hand, I had the chance to hand pick from importer a Male to pair her with. I ended up picking up four adult black roughnecks. Over a short period of time I decided to keep this large, extra black colored, well tempered male. He is timid, but super sweet and doesn’t eat off tongs often but eats quail, eggs, quail, chicks, crustaceans, rats, and venison. I had no intention on letting these two go. But I have other future plans.
The female is full grown around 3 feet and the male is around four Feet. They can be housed together, but I have two separate 8 foot enclosures that they reside in. They get along very well together, but female tends to eat all the food before the shy male gets his. Also note they have a 8‘ x 8‘ outdoor enclosure they spend half the year outside in natural sunlight.
Asking $1100 + Shipping for the pair.
If you are located in Texas, I can let one of the 8’ x 4’ enclosures go with them. The 8 foot enclosure has a 3‘ x 7‘ x 1‘ deep custom aquarium that you can see them swim. Also other enclosure beneath that I currently keep other species in. comes with a canister filter as well. If interested, I can send pictures.
