Hey all,
I am looking to part ways with my two sub-adult Armenian tortoises. I am asking $1100 for the pair plus shipping. These are a variety of Greek tortoise classified as Testudo Graeca Armenica. They are extremely rare, and I believe that the entire population that is currently within the US has been imported within the last two years. Besides myself, I believe there are two other vendors nationwide that offer this species, one of which is the famous Garden State Tortoise. Garden State Tortoise actually did a video on them. Theyre also known as Araxes tortoises. I am looking to sell them as a pair, and it is my hope they will go to someone whom appreciates extremely rare species and wants to reproduce them. They are extremely scarce and critically endangered, so conservation of this species is very important.
They are very easy to care for and eating well, but slowing down a bit now that the cooler weather is rolling in. Their care is similar to other Greek species and they are very hardy. They are currently eating dandelion greens, spring mix, mazuri LS tortoise food, opuntia cactus, mulberry leaves and other homegrown greens. The female is ~830 grams and the male is ~1300 grams.
I am open to the trade of other exotic tortoise and turtle species listed below:
Tortoises:
- Pancake tortoises
-Western Hermanns or breeding pair of dalmatians
-Radiated tortoises
- Brown/black mountain tortoise - preferably manouria emys phayrei, but open to both
- Egyptian tortoise
- Indian and Burmese stars (preferably burmese)
- aldabra &/or spider tortoises (not realistic but worth a shot!)
Turtles:
- varieties of Chinese box turtle
- vietnamese black breasted leaf turtle/G. Japonica
I'm open to any and all reasonable offers. Please feel free to ask any questions. If you have a species I might like that wasn't listed, make an offer! I am aware my pictures are not very high quality, but I'd be happy to take more for any that are seriously interested.
